When shopping on ebay, always read the descriptions. Some items ship from overseas and can take a few weeks to arrive. Usually the description will state how long shipping might take. Also, for clothing, overseas sizes usually run on the small size so it’s good to order larger by a size or two. Always check the shipping charges. Super Cute Nutter Butter Cookie Turkeys – Thanksgiving Food Craft

Super Cute Nutter Butter Cookie Turkeys
a General Mills Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

Betty Crocker Fruit Roll-Ups chewy fruit flavored snack
peanut butter sandwich cookies

Candy corn
Betty Crocker Whipped fluffy white frosting
(see my tips below)

DIRECTIONS:

1:  Unroll Fruit Roll-Ups fruit flavored snack; remove paper. With kitchen scissors, cut fruit flavored snack into 5×2 1/2-inch rectangle, cutting one side into a scallop shape.

2:  Gather together side of Fruit Roll-Ups fruit flavored snack opposite scalloped sides. Separate cookie; place gathered side on 1 cookie half to make tail feathers. Top with remaining cookie half. Press lightly together.

3:  Shape 2 feet and wattle for the turkey from remaining fruit flavored snack. Insert feet into filling between cookies.

4:  Use frosting to attach wattle, eyeballs and candy corn for beak on top of cookie.

Darlene’s Tips:  If you can’t find the fruit roll-ups, any color will do. If you don’t have , use a cake decorator to pipe white dots for the eyes then cut tiny pieces of shoestring black licorice for the pupils or use chocolate morsels.

Easy 2-Ingredient Slow-Cooker Mashed Potatoes – Thanksgiving Side Dish Recipe

Easy Slow-Cooker Mashed Potatoes Recipe
a General Mills Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

3 cups heavy whipping cream
5 lbs potatoes
(see my tips below)

DIRECTIONS:

1:  Spray 5-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Pour whipping cream into slow cooker.

2:  Peel potatoes, then cut into 3/4-inch cubes. Add potatoes to slow cooker being sure to submerge potatoes in cream.  If all potatoes are not submerged, add enough water to cover potatoes.

3:  Cover; cook on High heat setting about 6 hours or until potatoes are very tender and can be mashed easily by pressing against side of cooker with spatula.

4:  Mash potatoes using a masher or beat with electric mixer on low speed until well blended. Do not over mix. Cover; keep warm on Warm heat setting until serving time, up to 2 hours. Stir before serving.

Darlene’s Tips:  You can add salt to taste when you pour in the cream and stir (1 to 2 teaspoons). You could test this recipe by cutting it and using a small slow cooker before the holiday just to be sure it works for you.
