Halloween Party Peeps Cupcakes Food Craft
a General Mills Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

check for ingredient coupons here
24 cupcakes of your choice (homemade or store-bought)
1 container Betty Crocker frosting (any flavor)
Halloween candy sprinkles, colored sugar or finely crushed creme-filled chocolate sandwich cookies
24 Assorted Halloween PEEPS Marshmallow Shapes
(see my tips below)

DIRECTIONS:

1: Frost cupcakes with frosting. Sprinkle with candy sprinkles, colored sugar or cookie crumbs. Place a PEEPS marshmallow on top of each cupcake. Use the image as a guide but feel free to come up with your own ideas!

Darlene’s Tips:  You can use any toppings you like. If you don’t have Peeps in your neck of the woods, you can use any . You can also make your own cake toppers by printing small Halloween characters onto paper then taping them to a toothpick.

When shopping on ebay, always read the descriptions. Some items ship from overseas and can take a few weeks to arrive. Usually the description will state how long shipping might take. Jack-o’-Lantern Brownies – Halloween Food Craft

INGREDIENTS:

Baked brownies (homemade or store-bought)
1 container Betty Crocker Rich & Creamy vanilla frosting
Betty Crocker black and orange gel food colors (or drops)
Green gumdrops, cut in half (for stems)
Assorted candies (gumdrops, mini candy-coated chocolate candies, shoestring candy. etc)

DIRECTIONS:

1: In small bowl, add 1/4 cup of the frosting; tint with black food color to desired color. Transfer to small resealable food-storage plastic bag or cake decorator. In another small bowl, add remaining frosting; tint with orange food color to desired color.

2: Frost top of brownies with orange-tinted frosting. For easier cutting, refrigerate 15 minutes to set frosting.

3:  Press gumdrop half on top edge of each brownie for stem.

4: With black frosting, pipe different faces or decorate with desired candies to make eyes, nose and mouth. Use photo as guide.

Darlene’s Tips:  You can also do this on any store bought cookies.  You might be able to fnd tubes of ready-made black decorator’s gel which is way easier. Let the kids decorate!
