It’s Tuesday.
I’m feeling better today because I finally got a bit of sleep. I think knowing the frenzy pacakges were all done helped. However, the packages are still here. They usually come first thing in the morning. Maybe since yesterday was a holiday, they are running slow. Also, the carrier probably took one look and just decided to come back later so at not to take up all the room in his truck. I will keep an eye on things and call the PO if they are still here when it’s getting close to closing time.
It’s another super hot day. Not sure what the temp is, but I can’t get the house cool enough. I might go out today to pick up my mother’s meds. All depends on how I feel and if I’m still feeling good later. If I start to get sick, I’m just staying home.
I need to eat my lunch. I’m cooking some huge ass ribs which looked tempting but I just got a wiff of them in the pan and I did not like. That’s how it has been for me lately, no matter what the food is, the smell makes me sick. And I stay sick for the rest of the day. And while typing this, I got a headache. No fair.
If I go out, I might record. Might not.

When shopping on ebay, always read the descriptions. Some items ship from overseas and can take a few weeks to arrive. Usually the description will state how long shipping might take. Also, for clothing, overseas sizes usually run on the small size so it’s good to order larger by a size or two. Always check the shipping charges. I’m not familiar with these sellers so please do your homework and shop accordingly. Some offer special deals like getting a free item or a percentage off if you buy a certain quantity so be sure you pay attention to that too!

Super Easy 4-Ingredient Nutmeg Squares Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

1 roll (16.5 oz) Pillsbury refrigerated sugar cookies
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup baking morsels, flavor of your choice
chopped nuts of your choice

DIRECTIONS:
1: Heat oven to 350°F. Line 13×9-inch pan with foil, extending foil over edges. Line large cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper.
2: In medium bowl, crumble cookie dough; stir or knead in nutmeg until well mixed. Press evenly in bottom of foil-lined pan.
3: Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
4: Use foil to lift bars from pan. Trim crust edges from bar. Cut bar into 6 rows by 4 rows.
5: In small microwavable bowl, microwave baking morsels uncovered on High 1 minute, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth. Dip 2 opposite corners of each square into melted chips, letting excess drip off. Place on cookie sheet and sprinkle corners with chopped nuts. Refrigerate about 10 minutes or until set. Store covered in refrigerator.

Darlene’s Tips: You can do this without the nutmeg if you prefer, or you could use any spice you like (extract would work too). This can also be done with any flavor of cookie dough (chocolate chip cookie dipped in melted peanut butter morsels sounds awesome!). Don’t want nuts? You can skip that step or add any sprinkles of your choice. Or how about this… crumble up the leftover cookie crust and sprinkle that on the squares (or just eat the crusts… yum!!!). Want colorful cookies? Add a few drops of food coloring and knead that into the dough. You could even separate the dough to make several different colors in one batch. Have fun experimenting! Want an even easier treat? Use store bought cookies and dip those suckers into melted morsels! Quick and easy yet looks special!!!

It’s Monday.
I’m just so down and out. And the fact that I’m down and out on a Monday makes things worse because it’s usually my favorite day of the week. But things are all turned upside down and I’m pretty much miserable.
Yes, I know. I’m complaining a lot lately. If it bothers you, please stop reading my daily chats. If you can’t stop reading them, then you might have train wreck syndrome where you thive on other people’s misery. And hey, if that’s why you’re here, I’m good with that.
Let’s focus on the good stuff. I accomplished some things on yesterday’s to do list. Just some, but better than none. I think I’ll get the rest of the list crossed off today.
I expect to have all packages ready for the mail tomorrow. I worked long and hard on that yesterday and well into the night. I got more done than I expected. Happy about that.
Today I have a new task. I need to hit Hannaford. Trouble is I’m feeling quite ill at the moment. I’m hoping it passes. If I can’t get out today, I will go tomorrow. But I’m really hoping I can go today. If I go, and if I’m up to it, I will record a car vlog.
Yesterday, I also managed to move the frenzy stuff over to eBay. Now I have Penny Auctions along with Buy It Now Fixed Price Listings. You can use the tabs on this page to view All or just Auctions or just BIN stuff. At least that’s how it works on a PC. No clue about devices.
I can’t list any new Penny Auctions for a few days because I’m having a procedure done a week from tomorrow and I don’t want auctions to be ending while I’m recouping from that. I’m actually going to try to take a day or two off for that. Try. Bet I don’t. lol I will start listing again in a few days so auctions will be running while I’m recouping.
I think I need to lay down. This lack of sleep is killing me. Last night it dawned on me that my procedure is just a week away and I went into complete panic mode. I also had to get up for an appointment this morning which also sends me into a tizzy. Did. Not. Sleep.

3-Ingredient Crunch & Fluff Snack Mix Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

6 cups popped butter flavor microwave popcorn
4 cups Chex cereal (wheat, rice, corn, mix as you wish)
1 jar (7 ounces) (or store brand like )

DIRECTIONS:
1: Heat oven to 350°. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray. Mix popcorn and cereal in large bowl; set aside.
2: Microwave marshmallow creme in medium microwavable bowl uncovered on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave about 1 minute longer or until melted; stir. Pour over popcorn mixture, stirring until evenly coated. Spread mixture on cookie sheet.
3: Bake 5 minutes; stir. Bake about 5 minutes longer or until coating is light golden brown. Spread on waxed paper or aluminum foil to cool. Store in tightly covered container up to 2 weeks.

Darlene’s Tips: You can add nuts, pretzels, chocolate morsels, anything you want! Just use more marshmallow creme to coat it all.
