Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to all the new patrons who are hopping on board! I’m blown away by the success I’ve had on patreon in less than one year! If you are a content creator, artist, singer, or whatever, you can have your own patreon page too!
It’s Friday!
I have too much on my mind. Health issues, doctor issues, house issues, career choice issues, just the fact that I was ever born issues… not a good day. Not at all.
And I must hit Walmart. It’s the absolute last thing I want to do. I imagined being in rant mode for my tag along video that I feel forced to record. Then I said no. I won’t rant. Instead I’ll do what I do at least 50 percent of the time. I’ll just fake it. I’ll go into performance mode. I’ll try to entertain in an attempt to keep the video light-hearted. I am in no mode to edit a rant.
With all that said, you can expect a video later. A fake one. Only you get to know this. lol
I’d also love to hit Marden’s but I can’t see myself going both places. Just can’t. So maybe I can hit Marden’s tomorrow. I want to look at fabric panels. Or maybe, just maybe, since my mind is completely shot today, maybe I can come home, put the groceries away. Eat. Rest. And get the fuck back out of the house. Maybe Marden’s is a possibility after all.
Yesterday, I did a lot of recording but nothing the public got to see yet, at least not yet. First, I recorded the last segment of my scrappy afghan video. I sent that to Derrick for editing and I’ll publish when I get it back. I totally fell in love with that afghan and I’ve already started a follow-up video for a scrappy block afghan using the same method.
Second, I recorded a whispered vlog for my asmr channel. I recorded from my new “studio” just to test the sound quality and lighting. I have not even started editing that yet. I hope to do that at some point today or tonight.
Third, I recorded a very long video for patrons. I was on a roll. Part rant, part clown. I was in quite a mood. And none of it was fake. lol
As much as I hate to go out, I must get this over with. Camera in hand. Taking you with me. I hope you enjoy the outing even though I’ll be miserable. lol

When shopping on ebay, always read the descriptions. Some items ship from overseas and can take a few weeks to arrive. Usually the description will state how long shipping might take. Also, for clothing, overseas sizes usually run on the small size so it’s good to order larger by a size or two. Always check the shipping charges. I’m not familiar with these sellers so please do your homework and shop accordingly. Some offer special deals like getting a free item or a percentage off if you buy a certain quantity so be sure you pay attention to that too!

DIRECTIONS:
1: Unwrap ice cream sandwiches and arrange 6 on bottom of a large jelly roll plate.
2: Spread about 3/4 of hot fudge on top, then arrange remaining ice cream sandwiches in a second layer atop the hot fudge.
3: Cover the entire cake with whipped topping. Place in freezer until firm, about 3 hours.
4: Just before serving, melt the remaining hot fudge and drizzle over the cake. Decorate with sprinkles, if desired.

Darlene’s Tips: You can do this with any topping. Butterscotch or caramel would also be delish! They also sell Neapolitan ice cream sandwiches if you’d prefer the three flavors. I’ve seen mint chocolate chip flavor sandwiches too. I’m thinking you could also spread some strawberry jelly between the layers for a chocolate covered strawberry flavor. And you could add chopped nuts if you’d like. Have fun with it!

It’s Thursday!
I feel much better today. I must have slept better. Yesterday was a complete flop due to lack of sleep. That’s what I blame it on. But I did get a few things done.
I worked on the next fabric frenzy at bit. I’m aiming for the end of August. Of course, this could change if I happen to have surgery before then, which I highly doubt. I’ve decided I want one more opinion before I move forward with surgery.
I’d love to be able to offer mini frenzies to patrons during the month, but there are details that I need to work on on that due to the way patreon is run. Just the same, I have my thinking cap on for that! I will update patrons soon. I hope to record for patrons today.
Since I’m feeling better, I really must try to record my last segment of the scrappy afghan. Then I can start a new project. I would like to do another easy big block quilt top. Those videos will be edited by Derrick so they will come out later. I’m very happy to finally get back to the crafty stuff.
I also cleaned up the room where I’ll be recording asmr. It’s certainly not a studio yet, but I hope to record something today. I was too out of it yesterday to be on camera. But I was at least able to get set up.
I have two phone calls I must make. You have zero idea just how sick that makes me. I could almost vomit. I think I’ll make those calls as soon as I publish this post just to get it over with. I could not bring myself to make the calls yesterday. UPDATE: phone literally rang as I was typing this and one of the calls I needed to make called me to set up one of my surgeries. So I don’t have to call them now to ask my questions. I scheduled the appointment just to have a date set but I still want my other opinion. I think. I’m so torn. Part of me just wants to get this shit done and not see any new doctors. The other part of me wants to cover all options. I’ll be updating with more details on patreon.
I guess that’s it for now! I’ll chat with you again tomorrow!

3 Bean & Beer Slow Cooker Baked Beans Recipe
a General Mills Recipe
Check out this huge selection of Betty Crocker Cookbooks!
INGREDIENTS:
check for ingredient coupons here
8 slices uncooked bacon, cut into small pieces (see my tips below)
1 cup chopped onion (about 1 large)
1 cup barbecue sauce of your choice
3/4 cup regular or nonalcoholic dark beer
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 cans (15 oz each) black beans, drained, rinsed
2 cans (15 oz each) pinto beans, drained
1 can (19 oz) cannellini beans, drained
(see my tips below)
See All My Patreon Titles!
DIRECTIONS:
1: In 10-inch skillet, cook bacon and onion over medium heat 7 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until bacon is crisp; drain.
2: Spray 3- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In cooker, place bacon mixture and remaining ingredients; mix well.
3: Cover; cook on Low heat setting 4 to 6 hours.
Search for crock pots on Amazon, on and at !
Darlene’s Tips: You can cut your bacon with kitchen scissors. So easy! If you don’t want to use bacon, you could add small cubes of ham or some cooked ground beef. Try serving in taco shells for bean tacos or wrap in flour tortillas for bean burritos. Top with shredded cheese and sour cream!
