Cinnamon Twists
a General Mills Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

1 can refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
(see my tips below)

DIRECTIONS:
1. Unwind a cinnamon roll and cut the strip of dough into two equal pieces.
2. Twist together, and bake as directed on package.
3. Serve with icing for dipping.
Darlene’s Tips: It doesn’t get any easier than that! You can dip in syrup too or even whipped topping!

It’s Saturday!
And it’s not hot outside. For once, that makes me sad. Now that I have rediscovered my love for jumping in the lake, I want it to be HOT out there. It feels so much better to jump into cold water when I am hot. Yes, it makes the water feel colder, but I love the instant cool-off I experience. I still plan on swimming today and will hit the road right after this post.
I had a horrible night last night due to my constant repetitive thoughts. I suffered all night as though the things that were going through my mind had just happened. It’s very much like post traumatic stress but the odd thing is that sometimes ordinary things get caught in the loop. Those do not make me suffer mentally but can still be very sickening and at the very least causes me to have a headache. Last night was just all horrible stuff. Hated it. I woke up feeling completely broken.
I made what I think is an improvement on the free kindle book list! I am dropping the free box sets since there are very few choices for those and they repeat constantly. Instead of wasting a bunch of time trying to hunt those down, I dropped them and added more books for grown ups (went from 10 to 20) and kids (went from 5 to 10)! The list is now on patreon at the $1.00 level.

When shopping on ebay, always read the descriptions. Some items ship from overseas and can take a a few weeks to arrive. Usually the description will state how long shipping might take. Also, for clothing, overseas sizes usually run on the small size so it’s good to order larger by a size or two. Always check the shipping charges. I’m not familiar with these sellers so please do your homework and shop accordingly. Some offer special deals like getting a free item or a percentage off if you buy a certain quantity so be sure you pay attention to that too!

Easy Cherry Cheesecake Brownies Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

1 box Betty Crocker Brownie Mix
Water, oil and eggs called for on brownie mix box
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cups canned cherry pie filling

DIRECTIONS:
1: Gather your ingredients and heat oven to 350°F. Spray 8-inch square pan with cooking spray.
2: Make brownie batter as directed on box; pour into pan. In medium bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar and egg with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.
3: Drop heaping spoonfuls cream cheese mixture all over brownie mixture, followed by spoonfuls of cherry pie filling (try to spoon out the cherries and leave most of the “filling” behind so cooled brownies don’t get soggy). Swirl into brownie batter using a few strokes of butter knife or spatula.
4: Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until brownie is set and cream cheese swirls have puffed and turned slightly golden. Cool completely in pan, about 1 hour, before cutting.
Darlene’s Tips: Check your local Dollar Tree for cherry pie filling. My store carries it for only a dollar. You could also swap the pie filling out for maraschino cherries. I bet that would be just as good and it would not get soggy. Soften your cream cheese by leaving it on the counter at room temperature for an hour or so.
