Wednesday Chat

Posted by Darlene on December 6, 2017 at 1:10 pm

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

It’s Wednesday!

I hope you can’t hear me chew. Lunch today is a pound of steak dried into jerky. And I’m eating while I type.

My cold is still horrid. I will no longer take any of that DayQuil shit. I swear there is something in there that keeps me awake, like wide awake, like more awake than a coffee high. I didn’t want the nighttime version but I didn’t expect to be a ball of nerves by taking the daytime version. Also, the sugar in it gives me major morning headaches. Do not like!

We are getting down to the wire for the Fabric Frenzy that is this Friday, Dec 8. You need to be in my Peanut Gallery group to be part of the excitement and the actual frenzy is for USA only and military addresses. I will be devoting my day to wrapping stuff up for the frenzy.

Yesterday all I was able to record was a Quick Video Update about the Hot Mess Quilt Giveaway I have going on and the Fabric Frenzy. I wanted to let my youtube audience know about both those things.

Another thing I did yesterday was try to fix my blog. It was no longer mobile friendly and those who use phones could not see my posts. I had to tweak my sidebars and that seemed to work for now. That’s why my blog suddenly looks different.

Today I plan on having a life update which is exclusive for my patrons. You can visit my patreon page here to see if you might like to become one of my fabulous patrons.

I just sneezed like 6 times. Each sneeze hurt my throat. I felt you needed to know this. lol

I guess I’ll just get on to the usual stuff. I can’t believe it’s already 1:00pm and I have not really started this day yet. In fact, I’m making another cup of coffee. Ugh!

Tuesday Chat

Posted by Darlene on December 5, 2017 at 3:49 pm

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

It’s Tuesday!

I had another terrible night. I started to feel better yesterday but then my cough was horrid last night and it kept me awake. I finally slept this morning and slept off and on until noon. Makes for a very short day of work for me. I hate wasting time trying to sleep.

I did get around to recording what I was hoping would be a successful experiment! Testing Homemade Basting Spray for Quilting – Darlene’s Crafty Concoctions proved to be somewhat of a fail. Actually, a big fail. Might work with the right spray bottle (needs bigger holes) but just too much work for me. I want to just sew, not spray and wait or spray and iron. I don’t have time for that shit!

And now I’ve discovered that my blog is not mobile friendly. WordPress must have made updates and my theme is probably not compatible. WTF! Why does this happen now while I’m sick and I have a Fabric Frenzy on Friday??? I’m so not in the mood to deal with this. UGH!

As for videos today, if I record anything at all it might be just a notice about Fabric Frenzy and also my Quilt Giveaway. I don’t think I have the energy or the non-coughing voice to do more than that. Talking just makes me cough more.

I’m so bummed about my site. I wish there was a one click solution. And I have never hired out for help, you know… because I hate spending money. By doing it all myself, I’ve been able to teach myself more about running a blog than many “pros” know. For real.
