Happy Thursday! It’s a bright and sunny day. Not loving that, but it’s not hot. Totally loving that! And it’s breezy too. Feel more like fall. Fall is my favorite season. In case you don’t know yet, I started a new facebook group for the Peanut Gallery! We are growing fast with over 400 members already. I started this group mainly so those who make quilts or crafts have a place to show off their stuff. But it’s really a place for everyone to get to know each other. Very happy with my decision to start this group. Please join if you want! Yesterday I uploaded 2 videos. One was to announce the new group and go over the rules. The other was a nightcap vlog and I was manic. lol I don’t mind bouts of mania as long as I don’t get out of control and do stupid things like foolishly spending money. I think it’s why I hate to ever spend. Mania can make me go overboard so I rather just never buy anything. lol Today I’m thinking I need to hit Hannaford. Craving their roast beef. If I go out, I’ll record a car vlog. Might wait until early evening when the sun is not so bright. I also want to have some sort of crumb quilt video. It’s a strange situation to have such a successful series according to youtube’s analytics and also an overwhelming number of comments expressing complete love for the crumbing, yet it’s the most “disliked” series. Tons of thumbs down on it. Yes, I know the thumbs down still count as good engagement in youtube’s eyes. But it’s hard to ignore that so many are not happy with the direction I’m going in on my channel. I said it was hard to ignore. But I’m still managing to ignore. lol I also need to get fabric ready for tomorrow’s ebay listings! I can’t wait! I love Fabric Friday! What I Have on eBay: Nothing new at the moment, still my penny auctions. The tipsters say they usually happen every 3 to 6 months if you keep feeding youtube the content that works best for your channel. My first spike was in March of 2016 (this old hair video which now has over 365K views) and I had no clue about how to make that work for me. So I did nothing. I didn’t have another spike for an entire year. Now I know better! When you get a spike, do more of the same. Immediately. Often. Have a great Thursday! Happy Hump Day Everyone! So happy it’s Wednesday and no longer Tuesday. Yesterday sucked! I quit Youtube 3 times yesterday. Like I quit for sure this time. lol I’m always quitting youtube. As much as I love it, I also hate it in some ways. It’s very stressful, especially for someone with anxiety issues. But I did not give up. Well, I gave up repeatedly but then jumped back in. I think I’ll be okay today and might only quit once. lol After much recording yesterday and my first time ever of not uploading after spending at least 3 hours recording and editing, I decided to record and upload a Crumb Quilt Adventure Ep. 4. And even that was very tough to get through. And I see that I was even saying the wrong things, like calling chain piecing string piecing. Stuff like that. I was such a mess yesterday. But I’m in a spike right now on youtube so it’s important that I upload daily while that is going on to keep the momentum going (see youtube update below). Spikes don’t last long, so I need to milk it. I don’t know if I’ll go out today. I just got dressed in house clothing, so maybe not. lol But house clothing is totally acceptable at Roger’s, so who knows. I need to go to the bank at some point, but not the way I’m dressed now. lol As for videos for today, I’m not even going to guess. I’m still totally worn out over yesterday’s attempts. If I’m not feeling it, I just won’t record. If I feel up to doing something I enjoy I’ll go ahead and do it, even if it’s not the best option for my current and oh so temporary channel spike. I figure something is better than nothing. Another mess I got myself into was that I procrastinated for so long about cutting fabric for Fabric Friday that I think the particular listing I was hoping for will have to wait another week. That means I need to come up with something different for this Friday. Not sure what. Can I quit ebay too? lol What I Have on eBay: I still have the Penny Auctions with Free Shipping listed. I like having that decision made for me. lol Youtube Analytics Mini Update: I was excited as shit when I hit a new milestone of my first ever $50+ day on youtube. On Aug 19 I hit $51.23. You can imagine how my eyes popped out of my head to see that on Aug 21, I hit my first $60+ day. On Aug 21 I hit $69.03, almost $70! I swear, I stared at that for 5 minutes. It feels good to know that my hard work and determination might actually pay off. I’m still miles away from where I was with my earnings from my coupon blog. But I’m okay with traveling miles!
