Happy Hump Day Everyone!
I love Wednesdays! My mania that usually starts on Monday and continues through Tuesday stats to settle down by Wednesday (mania is exhausting! lol). However, it’s not the weekend yet. Even though I work on weekends, I know it’s typically “days off” for many and I feel sad that they are not working. Bwhahaha! But seriously, if I could wish anything for others, it would be that whatever they do to earn a living be like a vacation every day. Makes me sad to think that some people hate their jobs. It’s awesome to love what you do!
Today is my father’s birthday. He’d be 101 today. He died at 87 which was too young for him. He was a very lively man but prostate cancer got the best of him. I was very fortunate that I got to care for him during the last 2 years of his life. He was an awesome man.
Yesterday, I took you with me to Roger’s (in the car, not in the store) and I showed you everything I got! It has been a long time since I did a Roger’s Supa Dolla haul and many of you like those. So here you go!
Then last night I uploaded my latest Easy Quilt Block! This one involves a strip set that you turn into half square triangles. Very easy to make the blocks and you can make some bad ass complicated looking quilts from those! Be sure you watch until the end to see my digital quilt designs.
Today, I’d love to go through the fabric I brought from the cellar. I might do that after my mother’s helper leaves. She’s here for 2 hours in the early afternoon, so I can’t record while she’s here. Just too much noise with the vacuum and all.
Since I can’t record, maybe I’ll put some fabric on my blog. I have some panels I’d love to put there. And I also have to decide what I’m going to do about Fabric Friday. I still have too much fabric on hand, so I will not be shopping for new fabric yet. But I have a few ideas of how to list the current fabric in new ways to maybe get that shit to sell! lol
Tonight I have Big Brother and America’s Got Talent. I hate when my shows overlap. I do not record stuff to watch later. I just don’t. I like to live like in the old days when you had to make a choice. lol And besides that, I barely care to spend an hour watching TV. Watching for two hours is pushing it. I will switch channels between the two shows. I will also cook the chicken hearts tonight to eat with steak in front of the TV.
What I Have on eBay: The Penny Auctions with Free Shipping are getting some bids! I’m having so much fun with those auctions! I still have fabric too. The Long Quarters I have available would be perfect to make strip sets for these quilt blocks!!!
10 Free eBooks: I just created today’s free ebook list. I think I found a good mix today!
Yesterday’s Walmart.com Deal: I found a puzzle that’s great for those who like a challenge! I love making jigsaw puzzles but not sure I’d tackle this one. lol
Stuff You Can Do: There is a FREE Home Depot Workshop coming up on Aug 17 to learn how to build a decorative ladder! You can see the details on this post.
Youtube Analytics Mini Update: You know what I love? I love it when I see a number with a dollar sign that I used to jump for joy over and now I consider it “tanking” for the day. Here’s what I mean… once upon a time I never had a $20+ day. When I started hitting the $20 days I was psyched. Even just one $20 day in an entire month was mega exciting. Now when I drop down to the $20s, my heart sinks a little! I’d rather stick to the $30s! lol I just had 7 days in a row of $30+ and even $40+ on one of those days. Today I see that I dropped to $29.08. I love how I now consider that a “low.”
Have a great Wednesday! Darlene xoxo
