Tuesday Chat – One Week to Skylar! Opened Mail, Read Comments, BFTP (shoe dance, horn blowing with Skylar last year)

Happy Tuesday!

I must keep it short today. I slept wicked late and I have so much to do. Skylar will be here in one week from today!

Yesterday, I got all fabric fat eighths ready for the carrier and they got picked up this morning. Everyone should get their fabric by Thursday or Friday. I also recorded a quick sneak peek of getting the fabric fat eighths ready and will upload that today.

My Paper Beads are doing really well on eBay. Please check them out if you haven’t yet! Those auctions end on Thursday.

I opened Peanut Gallery Mail yesterday too! Check out the nice stuff I got, and Skylar too! She got some beautiful artwork from Polish the Look! (do love PTL)

I ended my day by reading some of my Youtube comments and answering some questions. Then, or course, I closed that video by reading some of my hate comments along with my candid replies. Not for virgin ears! lol

Today I need to record Tipster Tuesday for content creators and I will also get the quick video up about the fat eighths. Then I need to get some stuff done for Skylar’s visit. I tend to do better at that when we are down to the last week. It motivates me!

Have a great Tuesday! Darlene xoxo

Monday Chat – Sewing Shit, Cutting Fabric, Opening Mail Later, Bead Auctions, BFTP (genie bra review)

Happy Monday everyone!

I totally wanted to have a Mailbag Monday video ready to upload this morning (yes, I was awake before noon) but I didn’t get around to recording it yesterday. I will record and upload that a bit later. Stay tuned to see what I got!

Instead, yesterday I went to Marden’s to pick out the flannel prints for my fat eighths listing that I had on ebay. That sold out quickly on Saturday night, so I shopped on Sunday. I had Sandy Pro with me to help pick out the prints. I think we picked out a wonderful lot and I started cutting right away. I will finish cutting today then I’ll get the packages ready for my mail carrier to pick up on Tuesday. Those of you who ordered can expect your packages of fabric to arrive Thursday or Friday the latest!

Then I recorded a Can I Sew This Shit video! I have so much fun with those. I took a Dollar Tree tote bag and funkified it. It came out awesome! I want to do a glued version soon for those of you who do not sew. Might let Skylar make one too when she’s here. That would be a fun video colab! She will be here a week from tomorrow and I can’t wait!!!

Other than Mailbag Monday, I would also like to record a comments video because my list of questions is getting quite long. And I will have a doozy of a reply to a particular comment that I got on my “shit” series. I smell trouble! LOL

Don’t forget to check out my Paper Beads on eBay! The auctions are doing great! Even if you have no interest in the beads, watching auctions is fun! (at least for me, because… uneventful life).

Have a great Monday! Darlene xoxo

Sunday Chat – Sold Out of Fat Eighths! Behind the Scenes Recording, BFTP (that time I showed you fluff)

Posted by Darlene on June 4, 2017 at 10:08 am

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

Happy Sunday!

I’m up early today! Early by my standards. I was up by 10:30am. I woke up excited because I get to go fabric shopping today! I listed (8) lots of Fat Eighths on eBay last night and I sold out in just over 2 hours! So freaking amazing! Now I get to pick out 20 bolts of flannel, buy a yard of each, cut it into eighths and send that fabric off to 8 new homes. What a wonderful job I have!

I also did something totally different for a video yesterday. I started out by recording a Follow Me Around, but I didn’t end up recording enough footage. So I turned that into a Daily Life Vlog with snippets of what I do during the day. I showed a bit of what I recorded in Marden’s, then I showed you m “disgusting” meat lunch (I know many of you think it’s disgusting so I feel the need to warn you LOL), and then I was about to record my Fat Eighths video and since I knew that was going to be a short video, I turned on my second camera and I let you watch me “behind the scenes” as I recorded it! I left it pretty much as is with all the pauses, stumbling over words, even a burp. I did end up fast forwarding through the pauses because I didn’t want you just sitting there. So watch THIS VIDEO to see the mostly unedited version and then watch THIS VIDEO to see how much I edited. Please remember this was a short video to begin with. I often have videos with over an hour of footage and I try to get them down to 15 minutes. That’s always a challenge! LOL

Today, after shopping for fabric, I may do some of the cutting. Maybe all of it. I will only have 20 yards to cut into eighths so that will not take me as long as when I cut 60 yards.

Then I’d love to come up with an Upcycled Fashions video. And I want to do something for my “shit” series. And there is always that Quilt Block Party that I need to wrap up! Plenty do to. Just need to find the time!

Oh, and for sure there will be more snippets of my daily life. I got fantastic feedback in the comments on youtube for that video!

Have a great Sunday! Darlene xoxo
