Happy Monday everyone!
It’s a wonderful cold and gray day in Sanford, Maine. I’m not it’s not cold like during winter, but since we have been getting some nice weather and I was getting used to it, today feels cold. Let me check the temp… oooh! It says 51 degrees in Sanford! Do love! I’m still in my nightie but I have my sweatshirt on and even turned on the heat. I don’t even wear my sweatshirt during the winter, but today I have it on. Feels so good to be cold enough for added heat! lol
Last night I worked on Part 2 of the Wonky 9 Patch Quilt. I’m loving this project so much! I added sashings to the blocks and created the rows. I stopped there. Next step, which I hope to record today, will be sashing and connecting the rows together then maybe making the quilt sandwich and doing some quilting. Do hate! LOL The actual quilting takes long and I’m not fond of wasting time on stuff I’m not in love with doing. But I will do it! I’m hoping I will one day fall in love with the quilting part. I absolutely love the piecing. Quilting, not so much.
Today, before I work on the quilt, I must finish scheduling my few bead auctions on ebay. Those auctions will go live on June 1st (the first of every month for the beads). And I still want to list some fabric. Must do! I also need to make another tote bag for auction for June. I’d like to get that done before Skylar arrives since I won’t have time to make one while she’s here. Must do!
I also have some questions I want to answer on video. Just so much to do… always! It’s a very good thing I love my job. Check out the Blast From The Past video below!
Have a great Monday! Darlene xoxo

Happy Sunday!
I’m up before noon. Amazing! It amazing considering I went to bed very late, almost 4:00am. But now I’m up and I’m ready to rumble! I have lots to do today.
First, let’s talk about yesterday’s videos. I took you to Walmart with me and picked up a few things. It was a quick trip and I was very happy to have you with me. It makes shopping so much easier for me to do.
Then last night I worked on my Wonky 9 Patch Quilt series! I’m so freaking excited about this block! I love the way it turned out, so I will continue with it and sash the blocks, put them together and finish the quilt. Hence, a new series was born! I’m dying to try the block with crazy fabrics. I’m thinking the cotton batiks would look fabulous in a wonky 9 patch. Do love!
Today I must get my paper beads scheduled for my June 1st ebay auctions. I usually have them all scheduled by now, but I’m a bit behind. So it’s a must do for today.
I also want to record a Mailbag Monday video today so I can have it ready to upload tomorrow, on Monday.
I’d like to maybe do part 2 of the new quilt series today because I’m just so anxious to work on that some more. But bead auctions must come first.
And I also need to think about what I want to do for the next fabric listing on ebay. Maybe flannels. Maybe batiks again. I just don’t know!
Lots more on my list, but those are the ones that are a priority. Plus a ton of other stuff that I need to do for Skylar’s visit. She will be here in just over 2 weeks!
Have a great Sunday! Darlene xoxo

Enchilada Sloppy Joe Pot Pie Recipe
NOTE: Please remember that I don’t eat this stuff so I did not test this recipe. I’m just posting so you can try it!
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
1 can (4.5 oz) Old El Paso chopped green chiles
1 can (10 oz) Old El Paso Enchilada Sauce Mild
1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (6 oz)
1 cup Original Bisquick mix
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
Darlene’s Tips:Use store brand ingredients to save money. You can swap out for any ground meat if you don’t want ground beef. Serve with sour cream and guacamole!
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1: Heat oven to 400°F.
Step 2: In 10-inch ovenproof skillet, brown beef over medium heat, crumbling as it cooks; drain fat. Stir in chiles and enchilada sauce. Top with cheese. NOTE:if you don’t have an ovenproof skillet, brown the beef in any pan and drain, the add the chiles and enchilada sauce then pour into a casserole dish and top with cheese. Continue to step 3.
Step 3: In small bowl, stir Bisquick mix, milk and egg with fork until combined. Pour mixture over cheese.
Step : Bake about 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

Happy Saturday!
I was totally exhausted yesterday. Totally. Took my mother for her doctor’s checkup then I took a nap off and on for 2.5 hours. I was not able to record. I am blaming this on the fact that I started dabbling with cheese again. Dairy and I just don’t mix, yet every now and then I bring it back to test it again, then I regret it. Dairy is allowed on the way I eat because it is from the animal kingdom, but many have issues with it. Apparently I do! I felt like I was in a coma. So it’s back to straight up beef for me. I thrive on beef!
I do plan on recording today, just not sure what. At some point I must hit Walmart for yet more meds for my mother. And I have a few things to pick up. I also want very much to show everyone a very easy way to make a popular quilt block. So anxious to do that! I think I will start a series of quilt blocks, just any quilt blocks, not blocks that necessarily go together. Then I would also like a series where I make actual quilts. I’m not fond of putting quilts together. I mainly love the piecing. But if the quilts come out good (I’d probably make small, baby sized quilts) I can always list them for auction on ebay.
Speaking of ebay, I must get something listed! I’d like to do another fabric lot, and I also have some fabric that I picked up at Marden’s that I want to offer. And I need to work on another crazy quilt tote back for auction for June. I want to list one of those totes per month.
That’s it for now! Check out my Blast From The Past video below. That was over 2 years ago. I had quite a bit of gray! Looks like someone sprayed my hair with cob webs! lol
Have a great Saturday! Darlene xoxo

TGIF!
It’s raining! Normally I would love that, but today I have to take my mother to her doctor for her check up. So I will be holding an umbrella over her head because, unlike me, she does not like to get drenched by the rain. I love it!
After her appointment, I want to run into Roger’s for meat. Then it’s back home for nap time! lol My mother will for sure nap. I don’t think I will. However, it would be a very good day for a nap. But I might make beads for my June 1st auctions. I only have a few lots ready and I need more!
Then I tackled a new Upcycled Fashions and I succeeded! I just love the jumper I made using a woman’s blouse! It came out super cute. I very much want to make one for Skylar when she’s here (in less than 3 weeks!!!)
Then I ended my day by recording a craft vlog. I showed you paper that I painted when I was in Memphis using paint that Skylar made. And I also showed you how I make beads. Just a quick video. I really love the craft vlogs. It’s very relaxing for me and I love to chat with you when I’m doing stuff I love.
Must head out to the doctor’s soon.
Have a great Friday! Darlene xoxo
