Tuesday Chat – Quilt Block #20, Blast from the Past, Plans for Today

Happy Tuesday!

Guess what I did yesterday? Yes! I completed block #20 for the Quilt Block Party! I am now ready to wrap up that series. I will be doing one more video to fix any boo boos on the blocks I’m not thrilled with and to also maybe sort of join those blocks? Still not sure. My plan was to sell the blocks on ebay as is but I’m just dying to see them put together. Still thinking about this. But at least the blocks are done and I’m so happy about that!

I also spent another hour or so cutting fat eighths. I didn’t really have time to cut more since I made the quilt block. I hope to finish the cutting today so I can get the packages ready for the mail. I will NOT be offering 20 lots again all at once. lol I think 8 would be more like it.

Today I hope to upload a Youtube Tip that I think will be very helpful for creators. It’s about looking for good tags and understanding rankings. Stay tuned!

I also want to put up the final poll for the quilt blocks! You can still vote for your favorites in the previous polls. They are all in this playlist.

Have a great Tuesday! Darlene xoxo

5 Ingredient Peach-Almond Dump Cake Recipe

NOTE: Please remember that I don’t eat this stuff so I did not test this recipe. I’m just posting so you can try it!

INGREDIENTS:

4 heaping cups sliced peaches
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 box Betty Crocker SuperMoist yellow cake mix
3/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup sliced almonds

Darlene’s Tips: Use store brand cake mix to save money. Swap out to other nuts like pecans or walnuts. You might even add some white morsels. You can try other fruits too, like apple. You could also add some fresh berries. Be sure to use butter, not margarine. Serve warm with ice cream!

DIRECTIONS:

Step 1: Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 13×9-inch (3-quart) baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

Step 2: Toss peaches and cinnamon together in baking dish. Sprinkle cake mix evenly over top of peaches. Drizzle with butter; sprinkle with almonds.

Step 3: Bake about 45 minutes or until top is golden and peach juices are bubbling. Cool 10 minutes before serving. Serve with ice cream or whipped topping!
