Happy Monday everyone!
The sun is shining again and I don’t know if I can take two days in a row of bright sunshine. Yesterday was awful. It’s almost like the sun makes me sick. I even had to go outside to do a bit of shoveling and well, just don’t do well in the sun and it seems to be getting worse. It’s hard to describe the feeling that comes over me. I struggled all day yesterday to get anything done.
The only video I accomplished was my March Youtube Earnings Update and it’s quite obvious that I was not up to par in that video. To me, I almost look drugged. lol But I got through it, bed head and bra strap included. But if you are curious to see how I did for March (pretty damned exciting month!) you might want to check it out!
Today, I really must pick some garments for my next Upcycled Fashions and get started! I would like to start with something super easy then aim for a more elaborate transformation later this week. Sew fun! And maybe I can knock out another Quilt Block too. If only I had black out drapes, I know I could accomplish so much more!
1 package (16 oz) refrigerated sugar cookies
1 container (12 oz) fluffy white frosting
1 cup flaked coconut
Food color
Jelly beans
Darlene’s Tips:You can turn this into a super easy recipe by using store bought cookies and just decorating them!
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1: Bake cookies as directed on package. Cool completely, about 10 minutes.
Step 2: Frost cookies. Add coconut to a 1-quart resealable food-storage plastic bag. Add 2 to 3 drops favorite food color, shaking bag to blend color. It may be necessary to add 1 to 2 teaspoons water to help disperse the color evenly or additional food color until desired color is reached. Sprinkle about 1 teaspoon coconut on each cookie.
Step 3: Top with jelly beans or candy coated chocolate peanut candy.

Happy Sunday!
The sun is shining bright so I hope it melts some of the snow that we got. If the sun must shine, melting snow might make me hate it so much.
Did you see the silly video that I uploaded yesterday? I make a tote bag out of trash bags. But it was a sewing project. Yes, I sewed together trash bags. Came out kind of cute. It’s a great little tote to give to kids as they can decorate the bag with permanent markers. Fun!
Not sure what the plans are for today. I really need to find a better system for storing the clothing that peanut gallery members send me. Right now I have things bagged, but I find that is not inspiring as I can’t see the garments. I want them all hanging up so I can easily see what fabrics might go with other fabrics. I will work on that today and hopefully I’ll pick the next garment or garments I want to work with and get a new transformation started.
