Associated Content

I have a new favorite writting site.
It's Associated Content. The best thing about this site is you get
paid for your articles upfront. The payment is usually anywhere from
$2.00 to $4.00 to start but the more clout you get the higher your payments
go. And you still earn residual income from your articles too!
When you join Associated Content it's important
that you know what to write about and what NOT to write about. Of
course, you can write about anything. But certain subjects will not
be eligible for upfront payment. After joining, go to the Associated
Content help section and you will get all the info you need to start writing.
One tip... if you write for eHow or The
Examiner too, consider putting your article on Associated Content FIRST
and once it's published you can go ahead and publish it on the other two
site if they fit those sites. Associated Content will only consider
paying you upfront if the article you submit has not been published elsewhere
first. So always try them first then wait for your payment to clear.
Then publish on the other sites IF and ONLY if you did not submist as exclusive.
Here are the steps you should follow to
be eligible for upfront payments and still be allowed to publish your content
on other sites:
Avoid these topics since they are
not eligible for upfront payments:
AC Tutorials
Humor
Poetry/Prose/Creative Writing
Movie/Music/Television show
reviews (except sneak-previews)
Video game reviews (except
of recently-released games, cult-classic games and comprehensive video
game guides not readily available online)
Website reviews
Editorial/Opinion pieces
Recipes
I stick to How To type articles and General
articles and they have all been accepted for upfront payment. Once
you choose your subject click on the the "publish tab" and then choose
your template the click "select. On the next page you want to choose
No when asked if your content was published elsewhere (make sure it's not
published elsewhere!). Then choose Non-Exclusive rights (this allows
you to publish to eHow or examiner later). Then choose Yes to distribution
(helps you earn more money). Finally choose Upfront Payments under
the payment section (this means you will get paid right away if they accept
your article).
You are certainly allowed to write about
the topics above that I said to avoid but you will just earn pennies for
those articles because they are display only and you will not get paid
upfront.
I know it's a lot to learn, but again...
if I can do this then anyone can!
Oh, you should always check the assignment
desk too! Associated Content will list articles that they want someone
to write. If you pick an assignment and it get accepted you get paid
quicker and usually more than if you just write on your own. But
always write on your own too because assignments may not always be a topic
you enjoy writing about.
If you are intersted in writing for Associated
Content please start by clicking this icon and you will be on your way!
