FYI I bought 2 and they allowed me to use the $3/2 coupon, but it only went through as $1.50 off.
I was at the Dover NH Shaw’s this morning I even brought the print out from asking Dan on the FB page. I didn’t need it they are aware of whats going on and allowing the $3/2 coupon on the BOGO.
I was in Ellsworth shopping yesterday and the BOGO was for $5.79 each so an even better deal!!! I was able to use my $3/2 for the BOGO no problem!
Thank you so much!!! I’m so happy that I can go back and get this corrected you are amazing Darlene!!!
It completely sucks… it just makes it so much more complicated…
This morning I was there and a store manager told me they updated the policy a couple weeks ago and it clearly states in the policy we can’t use coupons on free items and the register showed it as a free item instead of spliting up the price… here’s the link to the new policy updated policy… we can’t do multiple transactions anymore either…
http://www.shaws.com/coupon-policy/
That’s the same exact policy that came out spring of 2013. And all the policies I have for the past 2.5 years all say we can’t split transactions (we can split, but not supposed to split only for the sake of getting more coupons to double). We can’t apply a coupon to a free item, but with a $/2 we are applying it only on the item we are paying for, then it blankets the freebie which is looked at as a store coupon (the free part). Dan has the full example I can send you.
due to the new coupon policy =[
As far as I know, there is no new coupon policy… lol. They just don’t know that it’s allowed. Shaw’s has said on their facebook page repeatedly that we can do it.
I went to Shaw’s this morning and they wouldn’t let me use the 2/$3 coupon on the buy 1 get 1 sale I had to buy 4 (2 for $5.99 and 2 free) in order to use it… So it ended up being like $2.50 each =[
