Choosing Your Size!
At right is the basic shape of my tunics.  They are free fitting with no shoulder seams so they never look "too big" and it's not crucial that you get the exact right size.  In fact, you may find that you can wear several sizes and look terrific in each.  Just be sure you get it big enough.

I offer all sizes up to 15X.  Below is a chart to help you decide which size is right for you.  You may find you will want your loungers and nighties to be bigger than your tops for extra comfort.

The little shaped sleeves extend anywhere from 1 to 5 inches beyond Line A (see Line D at right).  Therefore, very large sizes will have sleeves that fall about the wrist.  The smaller the size, the shorter the sleeve.

IMPORTANT
I cut everything freehand with no patterns and it's impossible for me to get any two garments exactly alike.  But I'm good at getting within an inch or two so I'm giving you the approximate finished garment measurements below.  If you fall between sizes go up to next size.  Too roomy is better than too small.  Allow for shrinkage on 100% cotton garments and also rayons if you machine dry them. DO NOT judge sizes based on store bought garments.  Please use the garment measurements I give you below.  I welcome your questions and suggestions...email me!
How To Measure For Tunics
Measure Your Garment Method:  The easiest way to pick your tunic size is to grab your favorite shirt or lounger and measure it along the same lines as the diagram above then look for those measurements below.

Measure Your Body Method:  If you don't have a similar garment to measure then measure your largest body area (bust, belly, hips) and add the appropriate amount of inches to that number to get the fit you want.  Here are some choices:

Tailored Fit: If you want a garment that is not too loose but has more of a tailored fit pick a finished size that is about 5 inches bigger than your body measurement.  A tailored fit works better for smaller plus sizes up to about 3X.  If you are a larger lady you may want to consider a looser garment for a more flattering look.

Relaxed Fit: If you want a garment to fit you loosely yet not be quite as wide as a traditional caftan pick a finished size that is about 10 inches bigger than your body measurement.  A loose fit is good for just about any body shape and works well with any fabric.

Caftan Fit: If you want a garment that is very loose and fits more like a traditional caftan pick a finished size that is about 15 to 20 inches bigger than your body measurement.  A very loose fit works best with rayon, knits or other fabrics with nice drape.  You may also want to consider a very loose fit for comfy fleece loungers (acts like a wearable body blanket!).

Tunic Length: Put a piece of tape on the back of your leg where you want the garment to end.  Hold a measuring tape at the top of your shoulder and let it hang down your backside.  Have someone measure the distance to the piece of tape.
