Each time you shop at Hannaford between now and Nov 18, have the cashier scan your myHannaford sticker and you will get a coupon for $1.00 off any produce item. There is also supposed to be a $1 off any My Essential catalina that runs through the 25th. I have not tested to see if we get both, but we should! I have been meaning to post my Hannaford road trip but I’ve just been too busy with my little granddaughter here. I have a few minutes while she’s playing with her Grand Memere. They are getting in some last minute quality time because I take Skylar back home to Mississippit today :O( Anyway, I was not able to shop much during Hannaford’s awesome annual Buy 4 Get $1 Back catalina deal. However, I was able to get out there a couple of times. One mini Hannaford trip! My friend and I managed to hit Hannaford to shop for our Sanford Food Pantry. She asked for my help with my coupon skills and I jumped on the donation band wagon with her! Together we got 80 cans of veggies and soup for only $2.04. We’ll be doing more shopping for the pantry… probably a monthly thing. One big Hannaford trip!!! When the Hannaford deal first started, I went on a road trip with my sister. We hit 6 different Hannafords, hitting Biddeford more than once. This is the list of what I got (her list was equally impressive, but different). 18 cans baked beans 6 boxes elbows 4 boxes mac & cheese 8 bags of rice 2 containers of salt 4 bottles of vinegar 30 cans of dog food 8 cans mixed vegetables 5 cans of beets 7 cans of spinach 8 cans of creamed corn 10 cans of corn 3 cans of potatoes 4 cans of carrots 8 cans of peas 12 cans of green beans 2 cans of black beans 2 cans of fruit cocktail 6 cans of peaches 8 cans of tomato soup 12 cans of chicken noodle soup The grand total for all this was $112.77. I paid ONLY $1.77! I did this by using coupons from the Hannaford coupon booklet and rolling over the catalina coupons! I did lots of transactions that got down to zero and lots that were only 4¢. Hannaford has a new pdf coupon for a FREE 10 oz bag of marshmallows. The catch? You have to spend $25. Those marshmallows will never make it into my cart because I will never spend $25 at once at Hannaford. No extreme couponer would! If you have not reached extreme couponer status yet, you definately need to print this coupon and pick up a bag of free marshmallows. And if you are doing major shopping, at least break it into groups of $25 so you can get a free bag each time! Hannaford has another great coupon for us! This coupon is in addition to the Catalina Deal where you earn a buck for every 4 Hannaford or My Essential items you buy. Scan your myHannaford sticker between 10/29 and 11/4 and you will get a coupon for $1.00 off any meat department purchase. This one says off any meat department purchase so it does not have to be Angus. In fact, it does not have to even be meat! It just has to be from that department (you could pick up a pot pie or something). If you do want meat, be sure to grab a small package with a stickie coupon on it to maximize your savings. I get meat for pennies that way! UPDATE: The email Hannaford sent was a wee bit deceiving. I got my coupon and it says $1 off meat, not any meat department item. So, get some meat! There is a new coupon up for $1 off a MaraNatha product. Okay folks, what on earth is that? I’ve never heard of it before. Have you? Ooooohhh… I just looked it up (had to find a pic). MaraNatha Foods is premium butters! Almond butter, peanut butter, sesame tahini butter, sunflower seed butter, cashew butter, dark chocolate peanut spread and dark chocolate almond spread. Sounds delish! I also looked up locations and both Shaw’s and Hannaford carry Maranatha. For sure I’m printing then hunting for a sale! If you want to pick up a Sunday paper for FREE this week, run on over to Hannaford! Hannaford is running a sweet catalina deal where you earn $1 for every 4 Hannaford or My Essentials products that you buy. You can read up on that deal here. To get your FREE Sunday paper, simply buy 8 Hannaford or My Essentials items (look for cheap 45¢ canned veggies or get cans of cat food for 33¢ each and also use your Fall Savings coupons to pay that down). You will get a $2 catalina after you make your purchase. Turn around and use the catalina to buy your Sunday paper! Since the Maine Sunday paper is only $1.75, pick up a little something else so you don’t waste an entire 25¢ (get a donut hole for 20¢ or a packet of Kool-Aid for 22¢ or another can of cat food for 33¢). You need canned goods in your stockpile anyway, right? Might as well buy them at Hannaford then pick up a FREE Sunday paper! Note: if you tend to buy 4 Sunday papers like I do, you will need to buy 28 Hannaford or My Essentials items to get a $7 catalina. That will pay for all 4 of your Sunday papers! Woo hoo! OMG… the awesome Hannaford catalina deal is BACK!!! They run this promo once a year and it’s always just in time for Thanksgiving. If you play your cards right, you will be able to build your stockpile with stuff like canned fruits and veggies and so much more! And you can even do it for FREE! Here’s how it works: Starting Sunday, October 23 through Saturday, November 12 (they are giving us 3 full weeks!), for every 4 Hannaford or My Essential products you buy in one transaction, you will get a catalina coupon for $1 off your next purchase. This $1 catalina can be used just like cash to pay down your next bill. You are allowed to earn up to $10 in any one transaction. That means you can buy 40 Hannaford or My Essential items at once and get $10 back! Just be sure you always buy in multiples of 4. And if you need more than 40 items, split for your next shopping trip to maximize your savings! Here’s how you can turn this catalina deal into a money maker deal! Buy one or two Hannaford brand items (like their canned veggies) and one or two My Essential brand items. Get your bill to as close to $2 as you can. Use your $1 off any Hannaford and $1 off any My Essentials coupons from the Fall Savings booklet. Pay next to nothing and get $1 in return for the next time! That’s FREE money! I do a deal where I buy two cans of My Essentials veggies for 50¢ each and two cans of Hannaford veggies, one for 45¢, and one for 59¢. When I use my coupons, I pay just 4¢. Now when I do this deal, I’ll get $1 back, so I’ll make 96¢ on this deal! Even if you don’t have the coupons, you can score some great deals by making sure you buy in batches of 4 and by not going over 40 items in one trip. Look for the least expensive brand items you can find to maximize your savings! Here is one example without coupons: Say you buy 40 cans of Hannaford and My Essentials veggies at 50¢ each. You pay $20, but you will get $10 back. Now let’s say you turn right around and buy 40 more cans. The bill will be $20, but this time you will use your $10 catalina and only pay $10 out of pocket. You will have 80 cans of veggies for your stockpile and you only paid a total of $30, so you’re down to 38¢ per can! Of course, you don’t have to buy 40 at a time. You can do any multiple of 4. You can do this over and over and over again, and not just with canned veggies. You can earn the catalina on any Hannaford or My Essentials products (except variable-weight meat, produce, seafood, bakery and deli items). And you do not have to spend the catalina their brands. You can turn around and use your catalina to buy anything in the store! This is a great way to stock up on items you rarely have coupons for. You really MUST take advantage of this deal.
