How I got 4 cans of Muir Glen Tomatoes and 4 International Delight Creamers ABSOLUTELY FREE!

I ran into Shaw’s Wednesday night to see if I could get some prices on the Muir Glen tomato products to go along with this Muir Glen coupon.  Here is what I discovered…

The 11.5 oz cans of Muir Glen tomatoes and Muir Glen tomato sauce were on sale for $1.19 (regular price $1.79). The coupons are for 85¢ off one.  Even though Shaw’s written policy is that they don’t allow overages, there are times that a coupon will actually double for the full amount. I was hoping this would be the case with this coupon :O)

I was also running into Shaw’s to pick up 4 more International Delight coffee creamers to go with these new International Delight coupons that I found. I thought I’d take a chance and see if I’d get the overage on the tomatoes to pay for the creamer.

Here’s the scenario:

4 cans Muir Glen tomaotes on sale for $1.19 each = $4.76
4 bottles International Delight on sale for $1.99 each = $7.96
Total price = $12.72

I used (4) $.85/1 Muir Glen coupons that doubled -$6.80
I used (4) $.75/1 International Delight coupons that doubled -$6.00
Total coupons = $12.80

As you can see, after coupons I would have ended up with a negative balance of 8¢. Shaw’s does not give cash back (well, sometimes they do) so I needed to spend another 8¢.

I found 1.5 pounds of potatoes in the reduced produce bin marked down to only 28¢, so picked them up (I forgot to put the spuds in the photo). Then I nervously went to the register with the hopes that the coupons for the tomatoes would double for the full $1.70 off.

And they did!

I got all 4 cans of tomatoes and the coffee creamer for FREE!!!  And I ended up paying only 20¢ for 1.5 pounds of potatoes!  I love Shaw’s!

I was getting sick while in the store, so I forgot to see how long those cans of Muir Glen were on sale. Even if not on sale, you can get the cans like I got for only 9¢ each with the coupons.  Or, you can pick up Muir Glen tomato paste for $1.19 (reg price) and see if you get the overage on that. The big cans of tomatoes were $3.59 to $3.79 so you would need to wait for a sale on those.

Oh, the Muir Glen tomatoes are NOT with the other canned tomatoes. They are in the organic section. I hope you score some tomatoes!

The lovely 75¢ off Land O Lakes coupon is back!!!  I bet a sale at Shaw’s will follow!  Last time (I think it might have been August?) the butter went on sale for $1.50 each so when the coupon doubled we got it for FREE!  I hope that happens again, ’cause I’m down to my last three tubs!

I love FREE stuff, don’t you?  After the coupon below doubles, I know we will be able to get our hands on some FREE Muir Glen tomato products at Shaw’s!

Even if your store does not double, you should be able to pick up some Muir Glen tomato sauce for free or really cheap. I see the small can at Hannaford is priced at 99¢, so only 14¢ with the coupon.  The sauce might even be cheaper at Walmart… it might be a money maker!

However, since there is no restriction on variety or size, I’m holding out for a deal on the bigger cans of tomatoes and will look at Shaw’s where the coupon will double to $1.70 off!!!  I will price them tonight and will let you know what I find. If there is nothing for free right now, I will wait until I’m closer to the exp date in hopes for a sale! I got a month exp date on this one so we have plenty of time.

PRINT THIS NOW because the print limit will run out quick!  You don’t want me scolding you later… LOL!  I know we will get free something with this coupon. You get two prints per computer.

$.85/1 Muir Glen Product –  happy dance!!!  Can you tell I’m excited? Can you hear it in my voice? I need a life!!!

Here is a mini Extreme Couponing trip you can do on Wednesday at Shaw’s – Perfect for beginners!

I took a little trip to Shaw’s tonight and low and behold, they had holiday flavored International Delight on SALE.  I hope you printed the coupons for the creamer when I told you to. I blogged about it twice, so you had two chances… just sayin’ ;o)

I bought a lot of stuff, but I’m pulling these items out for the photo so you can copy this mini trip. If you didn’t print the International Delight coupons, you can still pick up the other stuff because the coupons for those items are still available to print.  The creamer coupon might be there too.

You will have to do this shopping trip on Wed, Nov 23. Shaw’s is closed Thursday then the sales change on Friday.

Buy these items:

2 Flavored International Delight Coffee Creamer on sale for $1.99 each
2 Sargento 8 oz Shredded Cheese on sale for $2.00 each
2 cans Spam on sale for $2.50 each
1 dozen Shaw’s large eggs, reg price $1.99

Use these coupons (they will all double):

Use (2) $.75/1 International Delight – check zip 90210 and click on beverages to see if it’s still available
Use (2) $.55/1 Sargento Shredded Cheese
Use (2) $.55/1 Spam product
The eggs are FREE when you buy 2 Spam (store special)

If you were to buy this food at regular price, the total would be $20.33

Buy waiting for a sale, you bring the total down to $14.97

Buy using coupons on top of the sale and by getting a credit for the eggs, you will pay only $5.58!

See how it’s done?  This is not the best savings, but if you are a beginner, it’s a good start!  Do me a favor… TRY IT! Buy only the stuff above and pay attention to the screen at the register to make sure all is going as planned.  If your total does not come out right, figure out what went wrong. Did all the coupons scan? Did they all double?  Did you buy the correct items?  By keeping the transaction small, you can make sure you get it right. Let me know how it goes!

If you don’t have the International Delight coupons, skip the creamer and just get the other stuff. Your total should be $4.60.

A few days ago I posted a coupon for 75¢ off International Delight coffee creamer. I printed my coupons and went on my merry way.

Today, while looking for the Jet-Puffed marshmallow coupon using zip code 90210, I noticed the International Delight coupon was there again. I clicked on it but figured it would not print since I printed it before, but it printed for me! Twice on each computer! Now I have 8 lovely coupons for International Delight! I’m holding these for a sale at Shaw’s where the coupons will double to $1.50 off each creamer!  I will be sure to tell you when to use them!

See if you can find it and print more! It must be a reset for certain zips.

It looks like the Wish-Bone salad dressing coupon has been reset! What I love about this 75¢/2 coupon is that Wish-Bone dressing often goes on sale at Shaw’s for $1, so after the coupon doubles you can pick up 2 bottles for only 25¢ each!

$.75/2 Wish-Bone salad dressings –  if that link does not work (it might show that it has already been printed because that link was sent directly to me), you should sign up for their newsletter so you will get a direct link from them next time!
