Hurry up and print this $.50/1 Starkist tuna pouch product and hold it to use at Shaw’s (or any store that doubles coupons) where it will double to $1.00 off!

The regular price of chunk light tuna is $1.39 at Shaw’s but I know they go on sale for $1.00 each, so if we wait, we may get FREE tuna! The coupon prints with an expiration date that goes out a month, so we have time to wait for a sale. Of course, you can also use on solid white tuna too.

$.50/1 Starkist tuna pouch product – “Like” them then look for the coupon link. You get 2 prints per computer.

P.S. I just bought some of the chunk light tuna (see $12 Challenge, Shaw’s, 2/15) and it was very good! I usually only like solid white but bought the chunk light for cooking and made some awesome tuna/potato croquettes with it. I can’t wait to get more!

The very last of my FREE Fresh Express – It’s the end of an era

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

Remember all that FREE Fresh Express I was getting last month? I was picking up Fresh Express in reduced produce at Shaw’s and using a $.55/1 coupon (coupon doubled) to get FREE bags of salad or sometimes for $.15 per bag.

I don’t know how many bags I bought throughout January, but I see by a quick count in my $12 Challenge that I picked up something like 21 bags during the last 2 weeks of the month. And I’m sure I missed some transactions. I bet in all of January I picked up at least 40 bags… and I ate salad every day.  Sometimes all day!

I know for sure when the coupon expired on 1/31 that I had 16 bags of salad in my refrigerator.  They were all either the tender greens or the red leafy and those last so long! It’s really only iceberg and romain (the wet lettuce) that does not last that long.

What’s my point?  I have none, really.  Oh… yes I do!  It’s that you don’t have to walk away from reduced produce just because you think it will go bad. As you can see, my lettuce is awesome and the exp date on the bags (this was taken from two bags, one red and one green) was 1/29. The only reason the salad is wet in the pic is because I washed it.

My other point is that it’s very possible to stock up on stuff, even stuff like lettuce and not waste it!  You just have to be willing to eat what you have in stock. I the only person who ate all the salad I bought, with the exception of my mother eating it maybe a few times. JUST ME!  And I never tossed any out.  Every single bit was consumed.  I know I had 16 bags on Jan 31 and today is Feb 19, so that means I ate 16 bags in 19 days!  I enjoy saving money SO MUCH that I’m willing to eat the same thing over and over again (it helps that I’m not fussy) so I don’t have to spend money on other things.  Is salad the only thing I ate? Of course not. I have lots of stuff in my stockpile. But I filled up on salad first.

And now I will miss my daily salad feast.  Hopefully Fresh Express will come out with another coupon because once I get something for FREE, I never want to pay for it again. I wonder how long I’ll go now before I buy salad again?

If Shaw’s is out of Cheerios, remember to ask for a rain check at the GM sale price

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

I know lots of couponers are reporting that their Shaw’s are out of Cheerios and other items that are part of the General Mills Buy 10, Get $5 Instant Savings sale.  I want to remind you that you can get a rain check and still get the GM sale price on your items!

Here’s how…

Be sure you tell the person writing your rain check that you would have purchased 10 items to get the GM sale price. For instance, if you were shopping for cereal and just cereal, and if they didn’t have any of the cereal you wanted, have them write the raincheck as “must buy 10 boxes of Cheerios at $1.49 each, 4 pb, 4 multi grain, 2 dulce de leche” (or whatever) so you can still get 10 FREE boxes of Cheerios with your coupons later!

If you don’t ask for the rain check in batches of 10, like if you ask for just 2 boxes of Peanut Butter Cheerios, you are supposed to get the normal sale price of $1.99, not the GM price of $1.49, so try to find at least 10 items that are not in stock!

Here’s another tip for you!  Let’s say for whatever reason you can’t print the coupons now, or can’t print enough for 10 boxes (like if you only have one computer). If your store is out of cereal, go get a rain check for 10 boxes because new coupons might come out at the beginning of the month and you’ll have more coupons and an awesome rain check to match them too.  I have actually hoped to find cleared shelves on certain items just so I could get a rain check for later when I knew I’d have shiny new coupons to use on them :O)

Something NEW on CouponNetwork.com – Video Rewards – Not always a good thing if your store doubles coupons

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

Heads up! CouponNetwork.com has a new feature on some of their coupons. It’s called Video Rewards!  If you see a little video icon next to the coupon like in the image below, you can watch the video before you print the coupon and the value of the coupon will increase.

In the example below, you would have two choices. You could print the Knorr coupon as is and get $.65 off, or you could watch the video then print the coupon and you’d get an additional $.70 off… so the coupon prints as $1.35 off. That’s great for this coupon because the Video Rewards coupon is even higher than if the $.65 was doubled.

They also have Video Rewards for the Peanut Butter Cheerios. In this case, those of us who want FREE CEREAL at Shaw’s would NOT want to use the Video Rewards because it would only add $.30 to the coupon, so the final value would be $1.10, and that’s not as good as an $.80 coupon that doubles to $1.60 off… so plan your Video Rewards wisely!

If you already printed the cereal coupons, you will no longer see the Video Reward option. But, if you have not printed this Knorr Stock coupon, you can check it out to see what I mean.

How to get 10 FREE BOXES of various CHEERIOS at Shaw’s starting today with printable coupons!

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

It’s official folks, the peanut butter and dulce de leche (caramel) Cheerios are included in the Buy 10, Get $5 Instant Saving sales at Shaw’s! Only trouble is… will your store have them in stock? I have not checked Sanford yet, so not sure.

If you find stock at your Shaw’s, you can score 10 FREE BOXES by mixing and matching the various Cheerios and using printable coupons. How is that possible? Well, the cereal is on sale at Shaw’s for $1.99 each, but when you buy 10 participating items you save $5 instantly, so you save $.50 per item. That brings the total of each box down to $1.49 each. The coupons will all double so you will get at least $1.50 off per box… that makes them all FREE! (some are getting $.80/1 pb Cheerios on coupon network – I did, I did – so that might result in an overage if the cashier does not catch it)

A note about “like” coupons: One thing you need to remember is that Shaw’s will only double 4 “like” coupons. “Like” coupons are coupons that are for the exact same item and the exact same value. Two $.75 off coupons for peanut butter Cheerios are “like” coupons because they are both for $.75 off and both for peanut butter Cheerios. If you use 8 of those coupons (even if you print them from different sites), only the first 4 would double, then you’d only get $.75 off the last 4 boxes. But if you bought 8 boxes of peanut butter Cheerios and you use (4) $.75 off and (4) $.80 off coupons, all 8 coupons would double because you are only using 4 “like” coupons in each batch.

Below are some coupons you can try to print (may or may not be available) and also a shopping scenario:

$.75/1 Multi Grain Cheerios printable coupon (get instructions here)
$.80/1 Peanut Butter Cheerios (value is regional)
$.75/1 Peanut Butter Cheerios
$0.75/1 Cheerios Dulce de Leche Cereal printable
$0.75/1 Cheerios Dulce de Leche Cereal printable
$0.75/1 Cheerios Dulce de Leche Cereal printable
$0.75/1 Cheerios Dulce de Leche Cereal printable
$0.75/1 Cheerios Dulce de Leche Cereal printable – Cool Savings

For this shopping scenario, you must have access to 2 computers because you only get 2 prints per computer. I have an alternative scenario below for anyone with just one computer below.

Buy (4) Multi Grain Cheerios at $1.49 wyb 10
Buy (4) Peanut Butter Cheerios at $1.49 wyb 10
Buy (2) Dulce de Leche Cheerios at $1.49 wyb 10
Use (4) $.75/1 Multi Grain Cheerios printable coupon
Use (4) $.80/1 Peanut Butter Cheerios (or $.75/1)
Use (2) $0.75/1 Dulce de Leche Cheerios printable
all coupons will double
Final price is FREE for all 10 boxes (with possible $.44 overage if you have the $.80/1 coupons, so grab something worth $.44 just in case)

If you only have access to one computer, try this scenario… assuming you can print these coupons:

Buy (4) Peanut Butter Cheerios at $1.49 wyb 10
Buy (2) Multi Grain Cheerios at $1.49 wyb 10
Buy (2) Dulce de Leche Cheerios at $1.49 wyb 10
Buy (2) Betty Crocker Potatoes
Use (2) $.80/1 Peanut Butter Cheerios
Use (2) $.75/1 Peanut Butter Cheerios
Use (2) $.75/1 Multi Grain Cheerios printable coupon
Use (2) $0.75/1 Dulce de Leche Cheerios printable
Use (1) $.50/2 Betty Crocker Potatoes printable
You will get 8 boxes of FREE cereal then you pay only $.98 for the two boxes of potatoes after the coupon doubles… or only $.54 total (just $.27 each) if you get the overage! You could also do Totino’s instead of potatoes… or any other participating items.
