My $12 Challenge for the past few days

These shopping trips are part of my $12 Challenge (see here).

I have not been going out shopping much lately.  I even went two entire days without stepping foot in Shaw’s.  I have enough of everything and really need to eat what’s in the freezer because there is no more room for anything new. But, I still managed to pick up a few things… ’cause that’s how I feed this addiction!

I ended up with an overage over these transactions, so I have more money in the pot than I did a few days ago. I think if I make it to $1,000 I’ll call it quits, because I honestly think I could make this go on for a very long time, mainly due to Walmart’s cash back for overages :O)

Here’s where I stand with my $12 Challenge after these transactions:

Total value of purchases so far before tax is $504.78
Total OOP so far including tax is $3.63
I started with $12.00
I still have $8.37 cash plus $3.00 ExtraBucks for CVS, so I have $11.37 total left to spend!  That’s more than I had a few days ago!!!

NEW COUPON: $.35/1 Cain’s Pickle Product – PDF coupon – also Gedney and Del Monte

I am sooooo excited that this coupon is back!!!  I printed this last year and was able to stock up on lots of relish and other pickle products. But that coupon expired in December. Now they have a new one that is good until March 31!

A couple of things you need to know…

1. This is a pdf coupon so you can print as many copies as you want. You can also save the file to disk then just print when you need it!

2. The coupon states NOT SUBJECT TO DOUBLING, but it starts with a 5 so it will double automatically. It is up to your cashier to undouble it.

I did a couple of price checks tonight on sales that I posted earlier, but was not sure on price. These are prices in the Sanford Shaw’s. Not sure if the price is the same everywhere.

Grab your mustard coupons and head on over to Shaw’s

I just got back from walking around Shaw’s and I checked out the mustard because one of Chrystie’s fans mentioned that there was an unadvertised sale on French’s in her store. I found the same sale in the Sanford store but they were sold out. Maybe you’ll have better luck in your store.

The small jars of French’s Brown mustard are $1.49 but are marked 50% off, so only $.75. After this $.30/1 French’s Brown mustard coupon doubles, you pay only $.15 per jar!

Shaw’s also had lots of other mustards on clearance for 20% off. You might want to print grab all the mustard coupons you can find just in case you can score a deal.

Search for mustard in my coupon database for available printable mustard coupons and insert coupons.

I want to give all the Shaw’s shoppers who are lucky enough to have a reduced produce section in their store a heads up!

Certain varieties of Fresh Express and Eat Smart Slaw are on sale this week for only $1.00 per bag. That means if any of those bags make it over to reduced produce, they will have to be marked down even lower than a buck… super cheap!

These are the varieties on sale for $1.00
Fresh Express Shreds (8oz)
Fresh Express Garden Salads (12oz)
Eat Smart Slaw (10oz)
they might show up in reduced produce for less

And if you can’t find any in reduced, $1.00 per bag is still an awesome deal!
