How to shop the $5 Instant Savings GM sale at Shaw’s 8/24 thru 8/30

Shaw’s is having a $5 Instant Savings General Mills Sale starting Friday, 8/24 running through Thursday, 8/30.  If you buy 10 participating items, mix and match, you will get $5 deducted from your total immediately! That knocks $.50 off per item! You can also use coupons on the items you buy to get even better savings!

There is no limit for this GM sale. If you buy 20 items you will get $10 off, 30 items you will get $15 off, etc.  I suggest you send 10 items through at a time then check the screen to see if it deducted $5.00. If you don’t get the savings, it will be easy to see where the deal went wrong.

Above is a scan of the flyer (provided by We Use Coupons) showing the items that are participating in the GM sale (you can see a larger view HERE at the very bottom of that page. The prices in yellow show you what you pay after you get the $5 instant savings wyb 10 items.

Please be aware that not all flavors, size, etc., are participating. If you buy one wrong item, you will not get your $5 off. Ask your manager if they have a GM sale list with participating items by UPC. Sometimes they have the list, sometimes they don’t.

TRIX & KIX are Included in the Shaw’s GM Sale – See Promo Card Scan

I just got back from my Sanford Shaw’s with a copy of the promo card for the list of cereals that are included in the GM sale.  Both Trix and Kix are included!  Neither of those had shelf tags but since they are listed on the promo card, as long as you get the exact size mentioned, you should get the $5 off wyb 10 participating items.  If you don’t, run over to customer service and ask for a refund!

I highly suggest you only buy 10 items at a time so if it does not ring up right, it’s easy to check your items to make sure you got all the correct sizes.  There are promo cards for the different items in the store. Read them! I only grabbed the card that listed cereal since that’s the one causing all the headaches.

I hope this helps!  Feel free to print my scan so you have something to take to the register with you.  Maybe you should check the promo card in your own store first just to be sure your store is the same!

Oh, and while I was there, I got 2 free bags of Fresh Express cole slaw using the $1 OFF Fresh Express Shaw’s store coupon!  Sanford is loaded with reduced Fresh Express!  Loaded, baby, loaded!
