These shopping trips are part of my $12 Challenge (see here). To save time, I’m bunching the transactions together.
at Shaw’s on 1/19, Transactions 1 & 2
4 bags Fresh Express, reg (est) $2.99, reduced $1.25
1 Cool Juice 64 oz, reg (est) $2.79, reduced $1
Used (4) $.55/1 Fresh Express coupons (email me)
Used (1) $1/1 Cool Juice coupon (try here or here)
Value before sales discounts and coupons was (est) $14.75
After discounts and doubled coupons I paid $.60
at Shaw’s on 1/20, Transactions 1 & 2
10 packs UP2U gum, reg $1.49, on sale for $.99 each
4 jars pasta sauce, reg $1.50 each
2 Hood sour cream, reg $2.29, reduced $1 each
2 fresh lemons, $.59 each
3 bananas, reg $.70, reduced $.35
Used (10) $1/1 UP2U gum from insert
Used (4) $1.50 off pasta sauce (it’s a long story)
Used (1) $1/2 Hood sour cream
Used (2) coupons for free lemon
Value before sales discounts and coupons was $27.36
After discounts and coupons I paid $1.75 including tax
at Hannaford on 1/20, Transactions 1, 2, 3 & 4
12 egg rolls, reg $.79, on sale $.69 each
4 (approx) 1/4 lb packs ground beef, $4.17 total
Used (4) $2 off Hannaford Deli coupon
Used (4) $1 off Hannaford Meat coupon
Value before sales discounts and coupons was $13.65
After discounts and coupons I paid $.45
at Walmart on 1/20, all one Transaction
6 rolls Duck brand packing tape, $1 each
1 Colgate toothpaste, $.94
12 boxes Nabisco cookies, $1 each
4 Aquafresh toothpaste, $.97 each
7 packs Reach dental floss, $.97 each
Used (6) $1/1 Duck tape (NLA)
Used (1) $1/1 Colgate from insert
Used (4) $3/3 Nabisco from insert
Used (4) $1/1 Aquafresh (NLA)
Used (7) $1/1 Reach floss (NLA)
Value before sales discounts and coupons was $29.61
After overages and coupons (and it subtracted tax?) I paid only $.49 including tax
Here’s where I stand with my $12 Challenge after these transactions:
Total value of purchases so far before tax is $285.22
Total OOP so far including tax is $7.71
I started with $12.00. I still have $4.29 cash plus $3.00 ExtraBucks for CVS, so I have $7.29 total left to spend!
