I got over $50 worth of food
at Hannaford for only $2.61

(see some of my previous shopping adventures below)

Here's what I got for $2.61

7 big cans of diced tomatoes

26 regular sized cans of vegetables

18 small cans of vegetables

2 boxes of pasta

1 box of sugar

5 packages of meat (one is a pork roast!)

1 box of dog bones

Total Price:  over $50

I paid:  $2.61

How I did it

Hannaford has a handy dandy coupon for$1 off any Hannaford brand item.  The trick is to buy only one dollar's worth of groceries at a time!

Hannaford also had coupons that spit out of the Catalina machine for an entire week for $2 off any meat (I got a bunch of them because I shop every day and do a few transaction per day, you need a myHannaford sticker to get the catalinas).  By matching up those cats with the meat stickies, you can get meat for just pennies! Then you can also use the $1 off coupon with something else in that same transaction!

The other day I had to go to Portland. What I did was shop at 5 different Hannaford's on my way home.  It took me 3.5 hours to get home, but it was fun!  I ended up with over $50 worth of food for only $2.61.

Here's an example of some transactions:  buy one regular can of veggies for 58 cents with one small can of veggies for 45 cents. That comes to $1.03 total. Use the dollar off coupon and you pay only 3 cents for the two cans!  Or buy a package of meat with a stickie on it. I found one for $2.97 with a 75 cent stickie coupon on it.  I matched that with an 89 cent can of tomatoes. The total came to $3.86. I used the 75 cent stickie, the $2 off meat and the $1 off Hannaford (that gave me an 11 cent overage that spilled over to the meat).  I got $3.75 off so I paid only 11 cents for the meat and the tomatoes!

Keep this link and print your coupon!  The expiration date usually resets every one or two weeks.  Hannaford has been offering this coupon since April!
