My Shaw’s shopping trip in the bags – too tired to set up for photo

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

I’m too beat to set up for a pretty photo, so you get to see my latest Shaw’s shopping trip in the bags!

I got all this for $6.84!

23 boxes of cereal

4 bags of Chex Mix

4 bags of Bugles

1 box of spaghetti

1 tub of Hood cottage cheese

4 rolls of Pillsbury cookie dough

4 Dannon greek yogurt

2 bags of Fresh Express salad

The total after all coupons was $16.84.  I used a $10 Shaw’s gift card to help pay it down.  I got the gift card by buying $100 worth of gas cards. I’m going to buy gas anyway, so this way I get $10 of FREE MONEY to use on my groceries!

You can also get in on the gift card deal at Shaw’s. Just buy $100 worth of gift cards in a single transaction and you will get a coupon to get a FREE $10 Shaw’s gift card! This deal runs through 9/17. I’ll be doing it again, and again and again!

Manufactuere’s coupons of .50 or .75 will double at Shaw’s. However, Shaws store coupons (picked up awhile back in the cereal section) NEVER DOUBLE. What’s up with this?

Do the store coupons you have say do not double? And does the bar code start with a 9? If so, they won’t double. If a manufacturer’s coupons says do not double, then it is not supposed to double either. However, if the bar code starts with a 5, it will most likely still double at Shaw’s. It’s up to the cashier to stop it from doubling but most times they don’t read it, but just scan it. Generally, Shaw’s store coupons state do not double and they won’t. After all, it’s a store coupon so they are not getting reimbursed for any part of it.

Did you use a coupon for the kix for a single box? I can never find Kix coupons and I dread using those awful $1/3 coupons.

I had a bunch of .50/1 and even a few .75/1 any GM cereals. I must have printed them a month ago because they were all expiring yesterday. For the Kellogg’s, I had both manufacturer coupons and some store coupons that I picked up awhile back in the cereal section. I was able to stack those and they both doubled. It was a good night for me for cereal!
