at Shaw’s on 2/11, 2 transactions (see photo here)
8 boxes Mueller’s pasta reg $1.29, sale $1.00 each
1 bag chips, $1.69
1 dish soap, $1.15
1 can pasta, $.99
1 can veggies, $1.69
4 yogurts, $.60 each
1 stalk celery, reg $1.99, reduced $.75
3 yellow squash, reg $2.68, reduced $1.34
Used (8) $.55/1 Mueller’s – separate transactions
Used (8) coupons from Wish Big Win Big game for FREE chips, dish soap, can pasta, can veggies, yogurts… all free!
Value before sales discounts and coupons was $20.33
After discounts and doubled coupons I paid $1.29
I also found a penny on the ground so oop is $1.28

at Shaw’s on 2/13, 2 transactions
8 boxes Mueller’s pasta reg $1.29, sale $1.00 each
2 liters Super Chill sparkling water, reg $.85, sale $.69
1 fresh fruit, reg $1.99, reduced $.53
2 lbs red potatoes (almost), reg $3.78, reduced $.56
Used (8) $.55/1 Mueller’s – separate transactions
Used (1) $1/2 Super Chill from coupon book
Used (2) $.25/1 Super Chill from Wish Big, Win Big
Value before sales discounts and coupons was $17.79
Tax did a funny thing and subtracted $.14
After discounts and doubled coupons I paid $.03
I don’t count bottle deposit because I get that back

at Hannaford on 2/13, 3 transcactions
1 loaf bread, $1.50
3 cans dog food, $.50 each
2 quarts milk, $1.60 each
asked for $1 worth ground beef, total was $1.06
Used (3) $1 off Hannaford coupon from coupon book (NLA)
Used (3) $1 off My Essential coupon from coupon book (NLA)
Used (1) $1 off Angus coupon from back of meat pamphlet on butcher bar
Total before tax was $7.26
After coupons I paid $.35 including tax

at Shaw’s on 2/14
32 liters Super Chill sparkling water, reg $.85, sale $.69
Used (16) $1/2 Super Chill from coupon book
Used (32) $.25/1 Super Chill from Wish Big, Win Big
Value before sales discounts and coupons was $22.08
I got full value of coupons which resulted in $.32 overage
Tax did a funny thing and only charged $.63 (should have been $1.10)
After discounts, coupons and overages I paid $.31 including tax and bottle deposit! Since I will get $1.60 back when I return the bottles, I have a $1.29 overage (I never count depost because I get that back).

at Shaw’s on 2/15, 3 transactions
12 boxes Mueller’s pasta reg $1.29, sale $1.00 each
4 pouches Starkist tuna, $1.39 each
1 Simply Lemonade 89 oz, reg $3.99, reduced $1.50
Used (12) $.55/1 Mueller’s – separate transactions
Used (4) $.50/1 Starkist (not sure if available)
Used (1) $1/1 Simply Lemonade (in coupon box at Shaw’s)
Value before sales discounts and coupons was $25.03
tax deducted $.05 on two slips, so minus $.10 total (why does it do that???)
After discounts and doubled coupons I paid $.76

at CVS on 2/16
2 Colgate Total toothpaste, reg $3.19, sale $2.75 each
6 Snicker’s chocolate hearts, reg $.87, sale $.44 each
Used (2) $1/1 Colgate Total from 2/12 SS
Used (2) $1.50/2 Mars Seasonal (NLA)
 Value before sales discounts and coupons was $11.60
After discounts and coupons total was $3.55 including tax
I used $3 Extra Bucks and paid $.55 out of pocket
I got $4 Extra Bucks for buying the toothpaste

at Hannaford on 2/16 & 2/17, 6 transcactions
1 can kidney beans, $.89
1 can baked beans, $.99
2 cans spaghetti & meatballs, $.85
asked for $1 worth shaved steak, total was $1.30
asked for $1 worth shaved steak, total was $1.17
4 cans dog food, $.50 each
4 quarts milk, $1.60 each
Used (6) $1 off Hannaford coupon from coupon book (NLA)
Used (6) $1 off My Essential coupon from coupon book (NLA)
Used (2) $1 off Angus coupons from back of meat pamphlet on butcher bar
Total before tax was $14.45
After coupons I paid $.57 including tax

at CVS on 2/17
1 bag M&M Pretzels, 9.6 oz, reg $4.39, sale $3.49
Used (1) Get 1 bag M&Ms for $1.49 CVS coupons (NLA)
Used (1) $1/1 M&Ms Pretzel printable coupons (?)
Value before sales discounts and coupons was $17.56
After discounts and coupons total was $.67 including tax
I actually paid zero oop because I found an old CVS gift card with $1.84 on it but since I didn’t start with that, I’m not counting it
I got $1 Extra Bucks for using my CVS green bag tag

Here’s where I stand with my $12 Challenge after these transactions:

Total value of purchases so far before tax is $724.94
Total OOP so far including tax is $9.57
I started with $12.00
I still have $2.43 cash plus $5.00 ExtraBucks for CVS, so I have $7.43 total left to spend!

    Hi Darlene, I’m confused as to why you were allowed to use the $1/2 Super Chill coupons and the Wish Big coupons for the sparkling water, as they are both store coupons.  Can you enlighten me?  Thanks!
