Couponing for Newbies – How do bloggers help couponers?

I am on vacation for a few days to bring Skylar home to Memphis.  I am repeating my “Couponing for Newbies” series for any newbies who have joined our group over the past couple of weeks. How do bloggers help couponers?

One of the things I hear most often is “couponing is too time consuming!”  I especially hear that from people who couponed before we had computers. Back then, everyone had to sit down with their store flyers and do their own matchups. And the sad thing is that many didn’t know you should match a coupon up to a sale. So, instead of saving money, many ended up spending more money by using coupons!

Now with computers and coupon bloggers, most of the work is done for you!  Bloggers like me will tell you where to shop, when to shop, what to buy, what coupon to use, and what you can expect to pay.

A typical post for a deal will look like this…

Here’s the deal at ABC Store starting 11/30:
Buy (1) box of XYZ on sale for $2.00
Use (1) $.75/1 box of XYZ printable coupon
coupon will double to $1.50 off
Final price is only $.50 for XYZ

… at least that’s what the majority of my deals look like.

Some bloggers will post entire matchups for certain stores.  I prefer to post individual deals, those that I feel are the best bargains. All you have to do is follow your favorite bloggers, pick the deals you like and head to the store! Sorry, but bloggers can’t do that part for you :O)
