1 LB Bags Diamond Hazelnuts or Almonds Only $1.50 at Shaw’s thru 2/28 with Printable Coupon

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

I found an awesome way to use your $1/1 Diamond Nuts coupon!  Someone on facebook (sorry, can’t remember who) mentioned that she thought Diamond Nuts were on sale at Shaw’s for 50% off.  And the hazelnuts and almonds are, through the end of the month!

The shocking thing is that if you didn’t print yet, the coupon is still available!

Here’s the deal at Shaw’s through 2/28 (confirmed in Sanford):

Buy (1) 16 oz bag Diamond Hazelnuts or Almonds (in the shell) on sale for $2.50
Use (1) $1/1 Diamond Nuts, 8 oz or greater, printable coupon (2 prints per computer)
Final price is only $1.50 for a pound of nuts! Go find your nutcracker!

I didn’t pick any up yet because I still want to price shelled walnuts at the different stores. But, I have my coupons printed and if I don’t find another deal I like, I’ll be doing this Shaw’s deal for sure!  If anyone knows of other Diamond Nut deals, please post a comment!

I had the worse time finding the bagged hazelnuts; they are in the PRODUCE department. Funny thing is, only one employee knew where they were. I was sent to 2 different places where they also had Diamond nuts, but not the unshelled. If you have trouble finding them, look in produce, but don’t ask an employee, they’ll send you on a wild goose chase.

On another note, I asked the lady who marks down the deli stuff how she figures a date. She says that she usually marks it down 4 days before the sell by date. I checked out a few items that we use but cannot afford and got 4 packs of pancetta for $2.99 each, usually $4.99. By all means, people, make friends with the store employees. I’ve even had some of them ask what I was looking for, and they marked it down ahead of time for me and put it aside while I did my shopping so that nobody else would take it.

They’ve done this in Stop and Shop for me, too, in the produce department.

Yes, produce. What a crazy place for nuts! And yes, getting to know your store emps is a very, very good thing!
