I had no clue this was such a big secret, but apparently it is. I’ve been using Web Pickup at Walgreens in Sanford since they opened last spring. And in all that time, I’m the only person who has used it!
Let me tell you a little bit about Walgreens Web Pickup. You order online, they gather your stuff, you go to the store and everything is ready for you!
I don’t think this is in all Walgreens. In fact, I think Sanford is one of the few. I ran in there last night to pick up my order and that’s when I discovered I’m the only one who uses that service. The manager asked me to tell you about it! They want more people to try Web Pickup!
Here’s how you get started:
1. Create an account at Walgreens.com (it’s quick and easy)
2. Scroll down their homepage and look for Web Pickup and click on that
3. Start shopping online (at some point it asks you to choose your store)
4. Submit your order then pick it up later!
Here’s why you need to try Walgreens Web Pickup!
1. It’s mega convenient and such a time saver
2. You sometimes get cheaper prices online than in the store
3. You sometimes get unexpected discounts on your receipt
4. You can scoop up items before they run out of stock
5. You get to see what is in stock in your store (although updates are not immediate)
6. It eliminates impulse buying because you are not walking the aisles
7. You get $5.00 off your first $20 purchase (code is WEBPICK through 3/1)
8. You can use your COUPONS when you pick up and pay for your order!!!
Go to Walgreens website to see if you have Web Pickup at your Walgreens. And by all means, if you shop in Sanford, give it a try! I love when stores ask me to send folks their way!

They have it at the Walgreen’s in Hudson MA. I received on one of my in-store purchases a $5 off coupon for a web order pickup. However with the change over to the card I hardly shop there anymore it’s just too much work. If I couldn’t find anything to use the RR on I could at least use them towards food at Price Chopper because they say Manufacture Coupon on the top of them. At one time I had $76 in RR.
I also agree with Brandy I’m tired of the rude customer service at Wag’s which is why I would only go to the Hudson MA store and none of the others – I actually had a store manager tell me I didn’t know how to use a rain check!
I like the points going on the card better because there is no rush to use them. The paper rewards had to be used in 2 weeks. But if you could use the rewards at your grocery store, then I can see how you must have loved that!
I knew they did it but have never used it. I sometimes get e-mails that give you a certain % off if you use the web pick up. Maybe I will try it some time.
Used to shop my Walgreens every week until they went to less RR’s and implemented the point program. Find the deals are not as good as they were.
Just checked out the web shop idea, my store does not have it yet. Occasionally I still hit the store just not as regular as I used to. Thanks
Hi I wish I was shopping at your walgreens I am tired of rude customer service and today told me they cant get me a rain check for a RR idea when did this change today
I love Walgreens in Sanford. They are very friendly. I was stopping in weekly for sale items and eggs. But sadly have not been back since they implemented savings cards and a point system I just don’t understand.
I felt the same way when they introduced the card. But the points are easy. Some items you buy give you points (even if you use web pickup) and when you get to certain levels, you can use the points like cash. Just don’t even think about it. Get a card and just shop like normal. I don’t specifically shop for point items.
