I did this deal today at Shaw’s and I did not get $3 off. The manager gave me the $6 (I did 2 deals) in cash and said that it was probably because I bought chicken with a store stickie coupon on it. No one else had done the deal yet. She said that she would have to talk to the meat manager because meat with a stickie on it is not ‘fresh’ chicken and shouldn’t apply. I got my money back because the sign posted in the meat dept. didn’t state that.
On a happier note, I scored some wedges of brie cheese for under a dollar. The had a $3 and a $2 coupon on them because the sell by date is tomorrow. To make the deal even sweeter, I had a $1/2 mfg. coupon.
The store coupon should have nothing to do with it since it scans in at the sale price then the coupon is deducted. And it’s fresh chicken! LOL What does she think it is, spoiled! Fresh means it’s not cooked or not processes like deli chicken meat. We should write a book on all the funny stuff we hear!
