My Shaw’s in MA does not give overages, either. They do not even give cash back for the overage. I might have to write another letter to Dan. They get the full amount of the coupon back plus postage from the company the coupon is for, so they SHOULD give the overage.
The policy states that any combined discounts can’t exceed the value of the transaction. That means if you have a negative balance at the end, you can’t get cash back. However, any coupons that double should NOT be adjusted down and you are to get the overage for other stuff in your cart. The only exception is if it says DND or if the regular shelf price is lower than the doubled amount of the coupon, and in that case it should only double to reg price. http://ems02013.egain.net/system/selfservice.controller?CONFIGURATION=1003&PARTITION_ID=1&TIMEZONE_OFFSET=&CMD=VIEW_ARTICLE&ARTICLE_ID=2876&SIDE_LINK_TOPIC_ID=&SIDE_LINK_SUB_TOPIC_ID=&EXPANDED_TOPIC_TREE_NODES=&TOPIC_ID=
>>>Darlene,
Went shopping at the Augusta Shaws on Sunday with my daughter and felt we was treated like a third class shoppers. First we had a cashier that acted like she was not happy to be at her job, then she refused to take my coupons for my second item on the B1G1 stating they DO NOT take a coupon for the free item. Also on the money coupons they make the coupons down to the amount of the item.(IE coupon .50 when doubled 1.00 item I bought was .69 she punched that amount in for my coupon that should of doubled.
Couponing is a way that I can save money, not to mention something my daughters and I can do together. Just wondering if anyone else has this issue in the Augusta store. Waterville has always been very good to us and do not seem to dislike COUPONRS! We so enjoy your blog and would like to get input from your self and others that coupon at Shaws
Thanks Shirley
Darlene, how did you get 8 prints on the stonyfirld blends? I can only get one per email address.
Darlene where in the Store are you finding the diamond almonds in the shell. Have looked at two stores and can’t find them.
They are in produce! Don’t ask me why, but that’s where they are, at least in Sanford.
Very nice haul, I saved 84% today at my Shaw’s. Mine does not allow overages…boo hoo. Anxious to try the cuties I got.
They are totally supposed to allow overages, just not give cash back at the end. But any overages are supposed to be put toward other stuff in the cart.
