This is the 4th week in a row that I have this matchup for you. In all honesty, I had no intention of doing it this week (remember, I made no promises! lol) but when I posted on facebook that I was heading out to Shaw’s I asked if anyone had any price checks and I got a request to do price checks on all the coupon items… so I was forced to do it! lol I’m very happy I did because there are a few very good deals this week. Thanks for the kick in the pants motivating me, Laura! 😉

Shaw’s Roast Beef – The roast beef is $8.99/lb. There is no minimum purchase mentioned on the coupon and that is indeed a typo and stores were supposed to be informed but Sanford didn’t get that memo! I didn’t order any so not sure how the cashier would react, but the deli workers said if someone orders $1.00 worth, they will gladly cut $1.00 worth. Just remember, it’s one coupon per customer.
Shaw’s Deli Prepackaged Salads – The coupon says 2 lb or larger but Sanford only has 1 lb at $2.99 and 3 lb at $6.99. My guess is you could pick up (2) 1 lb but you’d pay $5.99 after the coupon so you might as well go with 3lb and pay $5.99 after the coupon ($1.99/lb). If your store has 2 lb, that will probably be the best deal. Or make your own!
EE Mighty Towel 6-pack – $7.29 so $6.29 with the coupon. I think I have some better paper towel deals that I’ll be posting a bit later, so might not want to do this one. In fact, I’m convinced this is a stinky deal. Skip it.
EE Tea Bags – The 100 ct boxes are currently on sale this week for $2.50 so only $1.50 with the coupon. I’m not much of a tea drinker, but I think $1.50 for 100 tea bags sounds like a very good deal!
EE Pancake Syrup – I can’t frigging believe I forgot to check this price. I should be fired. UPDATE: Reader, Nicole, says the syrup is $1.99 at Lewiston, so only $.99 with the coupon. That’s a decent price if you absolutely need syrup. Thanks, Nicole!
EE Chocolate Chips – The 24 oz bags are on sale for $3.99 thru 10/31 so $2.99 with the coupon. The Nestle morsels 12 oz are on sale for $2.50, so the EE morsels are just a little bit more for twice the morsels! Therefore, you have my full permission to do the EE deal. (p.s. Sanford has no Halloween Nestle morsels but it’s possible they might get some, so if you have that Halloween coupon, hold on to it!).
EE Marinades – Yay! The marinades are on sale for $1.49 thru 10/31 so only $.49 with the coupon! I thought that was so exciting that I even jotted down the flavors to help you decide so you don’t have to stand there for 20 minutes making a decision (maybe I’m the only one who does that?). Drum roll… Steakhouse, Lemon Pepper, Steak & Chop, Sesame Ginger, Teriyaki, and Herb & Garlic. Which one will you pick up? And after all that, I left without ’cause I’m not much of a marinade fan. I want meat to taste like meat!
EE Grape Juice – It’s $2.99 so $1.99 with the coupon. I’m not a fan of spending money on liquid calories, but feel fee to pick some up if you think it’s a good price. I like my juice to be free! Calories don’t count if it’s free, right? 😉
EE Cookies – The ones that are like Oreo’s, even the double stuffed ones, are $2.50 so only $1.50 with the coupon. I think that’s decent. There are other varieties priced at $2.99 so $1.99 with the coupon.
EE Frozen Potatoes – I was thrilled to see they are on sale for $2.00 thru 10/31 so only $1.00 with the coupon! I grabbed a bag of crinkle cut and will douse them with salt and vinegar. Reminds me so much of the good old days at Old Orchard Beach!
I still can’t believe I didn’t get the price of syrup for you. My perfect 4 week record has been spoiled! lol
