INGREDIENTS:

12 cups Rice Chex cereal (or store brand)
1 bag (12 oz) white chocolate chips
1/4 cup shredded coconut
1/3 cup dried cherries
1/3 cup pecans, coarsely crushed
1/3 cup green and red candy-coated chocolate pieces
(see my tips below)

See All My Patreon Video Titles!

DIRECTIONS:

1:  Place Rice Chex in a large bowl.

2:  Place white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and zap in microwave until melted. (Microwave ovens vary, so try 20 second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is smooth and fluid. Do not over-cook.) Pour melted chocolate chips over Chex.

3:  Add coconut, cherries, pecans, and candy pieces. Toss until well coated.

4:  Pour Chex Mix onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Allow to sit in a cool, dry location until chocolate firms up. Break into pieces.

Search for stuff you need on Amazon, on  and at !

Darlene’s Tips:  You can use a mix of rice, wheat and corn cereal if you prefer. You can also add other shapes of cereal, like Os or balls. Use any nuts you like or skip the nuts. You might try flavoring the melted white morsels with pepermint extract for a more Christmas flavor. Add candy sprinkles to the mix too!

Please remember that I don’t eat this stuff so I did not test this recipe. I’m just posting so you can try it!

Santa’s Marshmallow Belly Christmas Cookies
a General Mills Recipe

Check out this huge selection of Betty Crocker Cookbooks!

INGREDIENTS:

check for ingredient coupons here
Round store-bought cookies (or bake your own)
Large marshmallows
Red, yellow and black tinted frosting (see my tips below)
White vanilla morsels or any round candy for buttons
(see my tips below)

See All My Patreon Video Titles!

DIRECTIONS:

1:  Cut large marshmallows in half. Place one half of the marshmallow, sticky side down, on top of a round cookie and flatten a bit.  If it does not stick, you can use frosting to make it stick.

2:  Froste over the marshmallow and cookie with red frosting.

3:  Create belt with yellow and black frosting using images as a guide (see my tips below).

4:  Add white morsels or round candy for buttons.

Search for stuff you need on Amazon, on  and at !

Darlene’s Tips:  You can totally skip the marshmallow step and just frost the cookies.  Instead of black and yellow frosting for the belt, you could cut pieces of black shoestring licorice to  use for both the belt and the buckle. You could use white mini marshmallows cut in half for the buttons.
