It’s Thursday.
When I watched Big Brother last night, I realized that I missed watching it Sunday night. I have no clue how I let that happen. Just goes to show that I’m just not with it lately. And no, I don’t record stuff to watch later. I don’t like watching past episodes online. I want to watch when it actually airs on TV like in the olden days. Period.
I have eaten more bacon in the past few days than I probably have in almost 2 years of eating only meat. It’s about all I can stomach lately. But I’m hoping to have some wings for lunch if I can stand the smell. I have leftover ribs which came out great, but right now all pork, except bacon, is a complete turn off for me. I need to grind that up and make a sandwhich spread for my mother. I wish so much I never had to eat. Such a chore. Such a waste of precious time to cook and clean. Even the actual act of eating takes up too much time. In my perfect world, sleeping and eating would not exist.
I have so much going on. And even though much of it sucks, some of it is good. Derrick is now editing all my ASMR videos. This is such a big help to me that I really feel I will be able to keep up with my ASMR schedule without wearing myself out. I recorded my first head massage yesterday with a wig on Mr. Yeti. He already has it edited and is uploading it now. So totally excited! I did not watch any of the footage before sending him the video so I have no idea how it turned out. Very axious to see and hear it! Patrons at the $5 level will get early access at some point today. The video will be released to the public on Sounds and Whispers ASMR on Saturday. So if you are an ASMR fan, stay tuned!
I must do paperwork today. Just. Must. I keep putting it off. I need to apply for health care coverage and that means going back 3 months for all my earnings and stuff. I always kick myself for not keeping track monthly. I really need to do that as it would also be a huge help for tax time. But I usually just wait and do the entire year at once. And I hate that. lol I looked at the paperwork a bunch of times yesterday and just kept walking away from it. Today I must start. I have to make a phone call too. So hard for me to do these things. So. Fucking. Hard.

When shopping on ebay, always read the descriptions. Some items ship from overseas and can take a few weeks to arrive. Usually the description will state how long shipping might take. Also, for clothing, overseas sizes usually run on the small size so it’s good to order larger by a size or two. Always check the shipping charges. I’m not familiar with these sellers so please do your homework and shop accordingly. Some offer special deals like getting a free item or a percentage off if you buy a certain quantity so be sure you pay attention to that too!

World’s Easiest Shortbread Cookies Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

3/4 cup butter, softened
5 tablespoons sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
(see my tips below)

DIRECTIONS:
1: Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, stir butter and 4 tablespoons of the sugar until well mixed. Stir in flour. (If dough is crumbly, mix in 1 to 2 tablespoons more softened butter.)
2: Roll dough on lightly floured surface until 1/2 inch thick; sprinkle with remaining 1 tablespoon sugar. Cut into small shapes with knife or use cookie cutters. On ungreased cookie sheets, place shapes 1/2 inch apart.
3: Bake about 20 minutes or until set. Immediately remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks.

Darlene’s Tips: You can tint the cookies with a few drops of food coloring. You can also add about 1/2 cup of finely chopped nuts. Pecans or walnuts are an excellent choice. Decorate with frosting for holiday cookies.

It’s Wednesday.
So far, it’s a beautiful gray day. And it can’t be too awfully hot out there because I don’t have my AC on yet and I’m not dripping sweat.
Maybe I can record today! I need to record a crafty type video and get that over to Derrick to edit. Sewing something might be nice. I’m very anxious to come up with another very easy quilt top.
Speaking of Derrick, he will be editing the ASMR video that I recorded yesterday. And this time I did not preview my footage at all. I just recorded and sent him the video along with the Mr. Yeti audio (mr. yeti is my blue yeti mic) and that makes me very nervous. lol I am such a control freak when it comes to editing, but I need to free up time so I can spend more time recording. Very hard to delegate that job. Derrick is the only person I can ever imagine handing that task over to. I really need to get back to being on camera twice per week on that channel. I know giving the editing to Derrick will help me maintain that goal.
I made two phone calls yesterday, one to a plumber, one to a contractor. Both were highly recommended to me. Neither returned my calls. That’s how it usually works. Then I give up. This time I can’t give up. I must make more calls.
I can’t wait for next Wednesday to be here. That day will be the day after my cancer removal procedure. I’ll finally have that one step behind me. And I will still be covered by my current health care coverage since that does not run out until the 15th. Speaking of health care, I need to get started on the paperwork to hopefully get new coverage. That stack of paper is sitting right here. I hate paperwork. Trying hard to not put that off for too long. I. Need. Coverage.

3 Ingredient Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup peanut butter
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
2 cups Original Bisquick mix
(see my tips below)

DIRECTIONS:
1: Heat oven to 375°F. In large bowl, mix peanut butter and milk until smooth. Stir in Bisquick mix until blended.
2: Shape dough into 1 1/4-inch balls. Place balls on ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Flatten in crisscross pattern with fork.
3: Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until centers are set and bottoms are light golden brown. Do not over bake. Remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack. Cool 15 minutes.

Darlene’s Tips: You can dip the fork in sugar when flattening the cookies. You could also try adding chocolate or peanut butter morsels (or a bit of both) to the mix.
