I’m sad with the results of my first Savings Catcher price matching test run. But all hope is not lost. I will contact their customer service and put them to the test. Let’s see if they fix what went wrong. If not, the food is still in the bags by the door ready to be returned… all but one can of tomatoes that my mother already ate.
Here’s how it played out…
I bought 10 Cains mayo
I paid $3.28 each
PM Market Basket at $1.99 each
Should have received $12.90 refund
I got $12.90… that one worked!
I bought 10 Hunt’s tomatoes
I paid $1.48 each
PM Market Basket at $.99 each
Should have received $4.90 refund
I got ZERO back… that one did not work at all. And I bought exactly what the ad stated. I seriously hope they give me my refund.
I bought 2 Cabot cheese
I paid $2.62
PM MB at $2.00 each
Should have received $1.24
I got $.62… they only refunded one of them. In their defense, the ad stated “6 varieties” and I bought 2 different flavors, so maybe one of them was not included in the MB sale. I won’t cry if I don’t get that $.62 back.
I did get a $.13 refund for my bananas so loose produce works. They price matched Market Basket on those.
I also got a surprise $.23 refund on Prell. They price matched Shaw’s on that.
I’m leaving my money right there in Savings Catcher because they said they can’t do any adjustments if you move it to the Walmart eCard or Bluebird.
They owe me for 10 Hunt’s and 1 Cabot cheese, so they owe me a total of $5.52. I will contact them and I will report back and let you know how it goes!!!
UPDATE: I used the contact button on their site and the process was easy. I was able to choose the receipt I have questions on, I was able to check off the tomatoes and cheese, then they ask how I want to be contacted, email or phone. I picked email. I’ll let you know how it goes! I’m very hopeful!
