UPDATE: I just read the fine print again on the coupon and I see now that we have to buy a frosting starter to get the free flavor packet. At first I thought the flavor packet WAS the starter, but it’s a totally separate item. So, this coupon is not as totally awesome as I thought.
Shaw’s is giving us a special coupon every day this week (5/7 to 5/11) to help celebrate reaching 50,000 fans.
Today’s coupon is TOTALLY AWESOME! It’s for an outright FREE Duncan Hines Frosting Creations flavor mix with no minimum purchase requirement!

FREE Duncan Hines Flavor Mix (UPDATE: must buy tub of frosting starter) – You get 2 prints per computer! This coupon is available TODAY ONLY!
I can’t believe that I was just telling my mother that I’d like to try this new product! We saw the commercial while watching our shows over the past two nights. We for sure want to try cinnamon and cotton candy, but there are so many flavors… bubble gum, caramel, mint chocolate, orange cream, and more!
Dan on Shaw’s facebook page says the coupons will get better (I hope they do!!!), so stick with me because I will be posting all the Shaw’s coupons this week!
Please notice this is a store coupon, so even though Shaw’s coupon policy says they will not accept an internet printed coupon for a free item, this is one of their own coupons and they WILL accept it! If your cashier questions it, speak to a manager and remind them this came from Shaw’s facebook page!
Thanks for the reminder Amy!

Here is a good coupon if you can match it up to a sale at a store that doubles coupons, like Shaw’s!
I never even heard of Philadelphia Indulgence cream cheese but a quick look at their website tells me this spread comes in three flavors, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate… wicked yummers to them all!
It says this stuff also comes in cartons of 1.25 oz singles. That’s perfect for taking it to work or tucking into a school lunch box (do kids even still take lunch to school?)!
I hope to find this in reduced dairy at Shaw’s! If I do, I’ll let you know!

If you are holding the $1.50 OFF Hillshire Farms Smoked Sausage coupons, below are three scenarios to help you decide where you should use them.
I don’t like the Catalina deal. You have to spend $10 to get $2 back. And of course the price of the sausage is $4.99 at Shaw’s, so buying (2) only gets you to $9.98 and I don’t know if that’s enough to trigger the coupon. And the catalina ends on 5/7 so we don’t have time to wait to see if they go on sale at Shaw’s or Hannaford.
Walmart:
Buy (1) Hillshire Farms Smoked Sausage at $2.78 (prices may vary)
Use (1) $1.50/1 Hillshire Farms Smoked Sausage on Walmart.com (NLA?)
Final price is only $1.28
Hannaford:
See catalina details here
Buy (3) Hillshire Farms Smoked Sausage at $3.69, total $11.07
Use (3) $1.50/1 Hillshire Farms Smoked Sausage on Walmart.com (NLA?)
Pay $6.57 at the register and get $2 catalina coupon for next order
It’s like paying $1.52 each after coupons and the catalina
Shaw’s:
See catalina details here
Buy (2) Hillshire Farms Smoked Sausage at $4.99, total $9.98
I doubt that is going to trigger the cat but I’m going with it just to compare price
Use (2) $1.50/1 Hillshire Farms Smoked Sausage on Walmart.com (NLA?)
Pay $6.98 at the register and get $2 catalina coupon for next order
It’s like paying $2.49 each after coupons and the catalina…
…but you didn’t even spend $10 so if you buy 3 to reach the minimum and use 3 coupons you’d be at $2.82 each after the cat
Looks like Walmart is the clear winner if it’s priced at $2.28 in your store. Hannaford would be your next best bet, but last time I was supposed to get a cat at Hanny it did not print and they would not refund me (Shaw’s totally would have!) even though I had the printed details.

Here is a good deal on canned tomatoes! If you have been following my blog, you might know by now that my mother could eat spaghetti for every meal, every day! I’m always on the hunt for any kind of tomato product for her sauce. She is not fussy with sauce at all. She has even used watered down catsup. By choice. For real.
Here’s the deal at Shaw’s through 5/10:
Buy (3) cans RedPack Tomatoes on sale for $.79 each
Use (1) $1/3 RedPack Tomatoes (must register)
Final price is $1.37 for 3 so only $.46 each!
Thanks for the heads up Maven of Savin’!

I walked around Shaw’s tonight and did a price check on the Wild Harvest items that we have coupons for. I am also doing the SavingStar scenario for you. I think it’s a bit expensive, but I know some people are trying hard to eat only organic, so here it is!

I was too tired to set up for a photo shoot, so I will just describe my shopping trip at Shaw’s tonight.
I did two identical transactions but I’m lumping all into one for the sake of making it easy. Just split it all in half and those are the two transactions:
I bought this stuff
(8) boxes Mueller’s pasta on sale for $1.00 each
(6) Stonyfield Yogurts on sale for $.60 each
(4) Cabot Cream Cheese in reduced dairy for $.75 each
(2) dozen eggs in reduced dairy for $1.25 each
(2) big bags cole slaw in reduced produce for $1.00 each
I used these coupon…
(8) $.55/1 Mueller’s (all doubled, 2 transactions)
(2) $2/3 Stonyfield
(2) $1/2 Cabot
After coupons (and after it subtracted $.16 tax) I paid only $4.14! That works out to only $.19 per item!

I can’t believe that just the other day I posted about these super cheap Matzo crackers I got and I mentioned that my mother would like them with cream cheese. I had to remind her that I’ve never found a deal on cream cheese in my year of couponing and not to get her hopes up.
I FOUND CREAM CHEESE!!! And not only did I find cream cheese, but just before heading to Shaw’s, I printed some coupons for Cabot products because lately I’ve been seeing Cabot cheese in reduced. I didn’t even know Cabot made cream cheese. I could not believe I was able to score this deal!!!
Here’s the deal at Shaw’s while it lasts:
Buy (2) Cabot Cream Cheese in reduced dairy marked down to $.75 each
Use (1) $1/2 any Cabot product – Common Kindness, must sign up
Final price is $.50 so only $.25 each!
