I ran over to Shaw’s tonight and I struck gold! Someone left catalina coupons for FREE Essential Everyday items in the coupon box! I was able to pick up lots of freebies with those, including all the bread you see and the eggs! Actually, all the Essential Everyday stuff in the pic was FREE! The two small cans of tomato sauce were free with the candy bar overage.
Speaking of the candy bars… I screwed up! I was thinking my coupons were for any Mars brand bars but they were for Milky Way. And I almost grabbed Milky Way because those are my mother’s favorites. But she has so many of them (remember I got 106 candy bars for almost nothing awhile back?) so I grabbed the Snickers instead. An honest mistake! I’m going to blame it on the fact that I was exhausted! I would have been totally happy with Milky Way.
I’m not going to do the entire break down, but I did 4 transactions. I did one then I was actually driving away but went back because I forgot to check reduced produce. Then I spotted the B2G1 FREE sale on the candy bars and had to go through twice so all my coupons would double.
Here’s what I got:
12 Snickers (ooops!)
12 boxes Scotties (on sale for $1 and I had (6) $1/2 coupons)
1 non stick spray (free)
1 box baking soda (free)
1 oatmeal (free)
1 dozen eggs (free)
2 cans tomato sauce (free due to candy bar overage)
2 Smart Balance butter (on sale for $2 and I had (2) $1.75/1 coupons)
2 loaves Italian bread (free)
1 loaf other bread (free)
2 green peppers (reduced)
2 yellow squash (reduced)
3 Backyard Farm tomatoes (reduced at $1.18, just over a pound and I had a coupon for $1 off 1 pound Backyard Farm tomatoes, paid $.18!)
In addition to those coupons, I had a $2/$25 that I used.
Total came to $6.22 for everything you see!
And what gets me mad is that I forgot my last few $1 OFF Essential Everyday coupons from that coupon book. I would have gotten 4 more freebies!

I was mega disappointed that Sanford Shaw’s only had the grape Smucker’s Squeeze on sale and not the strawberry. But oh well, I still managed to score a great freebie, so I did okay!
I bought (4) Smucker’s Squeeze Grape Jelly on sale for $2.00 each
I used (4) Smucker’s printable coupon (no longer available)
coupons doubled to $1.50 off
Total came to $2.00
I used a $2.00 catalina that I got for buying Gerber last week
Final price was FREE!

I have not posted one of my shopping trips in awhile, so I thought I would post my CVS trip that I just did. I had ExtraBucks and a free body wash coupon expiring today so I did not bother looking for ways to roll them over because I was short on time. Instead, I picked up some stuff I knew my mother would like.
I bought…
(2) boxes Denture Tabs on sale for $2.89 each
(1) Body Wash at $2.37
(2) cans Spaghetti and Meatballs on sale for $1.00 each
(2) Pudding 4-packs on sale for $1.00 each
(1) Chex Mix on sale for $1.50
(1) Caramel candy (as a filler)
I used…
(1) $.60/1 Chex Mix
(1) FREE body wash
$9.75 in ExtraBucks
I paid $1.37 (including tax) at the register
I will get a $.50 SavingStar refund for the Chex
Final price including tax is only $.87!!!

I just got back from a little walk around at Shaw’s in Sanford and I was able to score a fantastic deal on produce in the reduced section!
I got everything you see in the photo for $5.85 total! It includes:
7 very big bananas, $.83
7 squash, $1.02 and $1.36
2 heads of cauliflower, $.78 and $.80
12 plums, $1.06
I generally don’t like to spend more than $5 a week at Shaw’s, but I have not been shopping much at all the past few weeks because I had my granddaughter. So, I was in need of some produce. I think $5.85 was a very good deal considering I didn’t even use coupons!

I don’t know if you realize that the Nissen Bakery outlets sell “bird bread” at $2 for 6 loaves (at least the one in Springvale does). They usually have holes punched in the bags and are sometimes even squished. They do this so they know you really are buying it to feed the wildlife.
I shop there for bread for my mother’s squirrels. I don’t mind that the bread is sometimes smashed because I totally flatten the loaves to take up less room in the freezer (we don’t want the squirrels to get moldy bread!).
But, once in a while, I get lucky and catch them while they are just pulling the bread off the shelf… and today was that lucky day!
I got 6 loaves of bread right off the shelf for just $2 total! The “best by” date is tomorrow, so perfect for freezing today. Boy oh boy, we the squirrels are going to love this bread!
The Springvale Nissen store also sells a cart full of bread for only $4.00!!! I’ve never bought a cart full before, so not sure how many loaves you get.

I ran over to CVS to use up a $.75 ExtraBucks that was about to expire and I ran into a fantastic deal! If you scan your CVS card, you should get a coupon for $2 off any shampoo. There is no restriction, so I grabbed a VO5 that is on sale for $.79 assuming I would get the overage… and I did!
Remember, when you scan your card keep scanning it until it says you are done. I got 3 scans today. The coupon for the shampoo was on the second scan for me.
Be sure you pick something else up to bring your total to at least $2 before tax! CVS will not hand you cash back.
Here’s how I got what you see in the photo for only 3¢ plus tax!
I bought (on my mother’s card)…
(1) VO5 Shampoo on sale for $.79
(1) Depend, 3 count, at $4.49
I used…
(1) $2.00 off any shampoo from CVS coupon machine
(1) $1.50 off any Depend from CVS coupon machine (from a previous visit)
(1) $1.00 any Depend manny Q
(1) $.75 ExtraBucks
My total was $.03 plus tax!
I did a different transaction on my own card:
I bought…
(1) VO5 Shampoo on sale for $.79
(2) Take 5 candy bars, Buy 1 at $1.19, Get 1 at $.25
I used…
(1) $2.00 off any shampoo from CVS coupon machine
My total was $.23 plus tax!

I had not stepped foot in Shaw’s for a couple of days, and I’m sure they missed me greatly, so tonight I thought I’d take a quick walk around… and I’m sure glad I did! I spotted some Cake Mate cake decorations on clearance so I was able to use my handy dandy $1/2 Cake Mate pdf coupons and got them all for FREE! Not only free, but they were little money makers!
Here’s how I got everything in the photo for FREE!
Bought (10) Cake Mate Cinnamon Sprinkles in reduced grocery at $.45 each
Used (5) $1/2 Cake Mate or Betty Crocker Decorations coupons (still available)
I got a $.50 overage on the cake decorations!
Bought (4) bags Earthbound Farm carrots on sale for $.99 each
Used (4) $.75/1 any Earthbound Farm printable coupons
coupons doubled to $1.29 off (these only double up to regular price)
I got a $1.20 overage on the carrots!
Bought (4) cans Essential Everyday tomato sauce at $.49 each
Use (2) $1/2 Essential Everyday catalina coupons found in coupon center
I got a $.04 overage on the tomato sauce!
I had a total of $1.74 overage so I…
Bought (1) Oakhurst milk in reduced dairy marked down to $1.74
My total came to EXACTLY ZERO!!!
I just love it when stuff like that happens! Using coupons never gets old folks. Never. Gets. Old.

I just want to remind you to pick up your super cheap Kraft Mac & Cheese if you printed the coupons when I posted them (sorry, no longer available).
I just picked up my 8 boxes and paid only 76¢ total! Here’s how I did it:
I bought (8) boxes Kraft Macaroni & Cheese on BOGO sale at $1.79 each
I got (4) boxes FREE with the store BOGO sale
I used (4) BOGO Kraft Macaroni & Cheese coupon (up to $1.60) (NLA)
I got (4) boxes for only $.19 each with the coupon
Final price was 76¢ for all 8 boxes! That’s less than 10¢ each!
If you are holding the coupons, you can do this deal through 6/22. Sanford Walgreens has plenty of stock!

I finally got around to using my FREE Goodies coupons that some of us were lucky enough to get awhile back (no longer available). I know my little Skylar is a big girl now, but I don’t think she’ll be insulted by these “baby” snacks. I also have a box of the banana cookies for her that I got for free with a previous coupon. I’m going to set up a little pantry just for her so she can feel extra special during her visit :O)
Here’s what I got at Walmart…
(2) boxes Goodies Strawberry Nibbles at $2.54 each
(1) box Goodies Rice Snacks at $1.98
(1) box Goodies Cinnamon Grahams at $1.50
I used…
(4) FREE Beech-Nut Stage 4 Snack (up to $2.65) (NLA)
Total before coupons was $8.56
I got it all for FREE!
I could have also picked up (4) FREE Beech-Nut Fruities On The Go with the $1/1 Beech-Nut Stage 4 or Stage 5 product but I’m holding my 4 coupons until the expiration date because they are also FREE at Shaw’s ($.99 each) and there is always a chance that Shaw’s will have a sale and if they do, it will be a little money maker!

When I headed to Shaw’s earlier, I noticed some eggs in reduced dairy. When I got home, I looked to see if there were coupons for those eggs and I found one! I was able to print 4 coupons on my 2 computers and I hurried back to claim my 4 dozen free eggs!
But they had 2 dozen more!!! And here’s what I did… I pushed them waaaaaay to the back so YOU could go get them… tee hee! I’d say if you really want them, you need to head out right now, ’cause if you don’t, one of my other blog followers will ;O)
Here’s how you can get 2 dozen FREE eggs at Sanford Shaw’s:
Buy (2) dozen Safest Choice Eggs in reduced dairy at $1.50 each (look way in the back!)
Use (2) $.75/1 Safest Choice printable coupons
coupons will double to $1.50 off
Final price is 2 dozen eggs for FREE!
The “best by” date is 6/17. You can hard boil them for yummy egg salad! I have enough frozen eggs so I’m going to pickle mine!
