I used up my last few Essential Everyday coupons tonight. I really didn’t need more frozen veggies because that’s practically all I have in my freezer… veggies. But, I had the room so veggies it is! ’cause that’s a rule in couponing… buy cheap when you don’t need it, then you don’t pay full price later! I’m trying to eat better, so very happy to see us able to use coupons on stuff like frozen veggies.
So, here’s the deal. My couponing buddy, Stacey, was at Shaw’s and she mentioned that there was Perdue chicken in reduced, B1G1 FREE plus they had marked down stickers. I used my overages on the veggies and powerade to score a fantastic deal!!!
I got…
(11) Frozen Veggies on sale for $1.00 each(6) Chicken Drums ($4.77 to $5.06 each, almost 11 pounds total)
(4) Powerade Zero on sale for $.77 each
I used…
(11) $.75/1 EE Coupons
(6) $1 Off Meat Coupons
(4) $.50/1 Powerade coupons
The chicken was BOGO plus the coupons
I got $.23 overage on each powerade
I got $.40 to $.50 overage on each of the veggies (I picked stuff that was $1.40 to $1.67 reg price)
I did 3 transactions with chicken in each to absorb the overage
My total was $1.99!!!
Oh, and I got 3 Monopoly tickets… lol

I keep forgetting to show you the free cat food and dog treats I got at Walmart in Sanford on Christmas eve. Not just free, but a very good money maker! And today I picked up my free potstickers at Hannaford in Sanford. Look how everything in the pic is yellow!
I got this at Walmart
(4) Purina One Beyond Dry Cat Food Box at $2.98 each (reg price)
(4) $5.15/1 Purina printable coupon (I think it’s still available!)
Final price was FREE plus $8.68 Money Maker!!!
I got this at Walmart
(4) Purina Beggin’ Strips 6 oz at $2.63 each (reg price)
(4) $3/1 any Purina Dog Snacks (no longer available)
Final price is FREE plus $1.48 money maker!!!
I got this at Hannaford
(4) Ling Ling Potstickers at $2.79 each (reg price)
(4) $3/1 any Ling Ling product, up to 56 oz, printable coupon (no longer available)
they adjust the coupon down
Final price is FREE!
At Walmart, I ended up with an overage of $10.16 which I used on a big bag of chicken wings for Christmas day and the leftover went toward my mother’s meds. But I could have just taken the cash because they give cash back at Walmart!
All the deals above were posted on my blog. I have done the Ling Ling deal before, but not the ones for the pet food. I posted the deal then I followed my own instructions and did the deal! That’s all you have to do too! If you are new to my blog, subscribe to my daily email so you won’t miss out next time!

I have been making room in my freezer ever since I knew we were having this awesome frozen veggie sale at Shaw’s this week, and I’ve got to say I’m very happy that I went back into the store to do another transaction for 12 more bags because I was able to fit all 24 bags in my freezer! You don’t know how happy I am to have all that broccoli and other stuff. Yummo!
You can see the Essential Everyday Frozen Veggie deal here
You can see the Chex Mix deal here
For the canned veggies, they are on sale for $.67 each and I used $1/2 Essential Everyday coupons making them only $.17 each.
I did 3 separate transactions and there is a mistake on each of my 3 receipts! One one receipt I got charged for 9 cans of veggies instead of 8 plus one of my $1/2 didn’t scan. On the other two, he missed a bogo coupon on each slip. I knew the total was not right but since those bogo coupons are so confusing, I figured I’d just come home and study the receipts and I’ll get my refunds next time I’m there. Once I get my refund…
I paid $2.72 for 16 cans of veggies.
I paid $5.46 for 24 bags of frozen veggies
I made $.80 overage buying 10 bags of Chex Mix after all coupons doubled, plus I will get a total of $1.00 back for my 2 SavingStar accounts ($.50 each, mine and my husband’s).
Grand total is $6.38!
