It’s Saturday!
And it’s not just any Saturday. This is the Saturday that I fly to Memphis to pick up Skylar for her summer Maine vacation! This is the 8th year that she comes. She started coming for vacations at age 2. She was just a wee little thing back then. She’s 9 now and so grown up.
Skylar and I fly back to Maine tomorrow, Sunday. We arrive very late, almost 1:00am and that’s if there are no delays. I’ve been delayed several times flying during the summer due to lightning. But I’m confident all will go well and that we will not be camping out on an airport floor. lol
A few things to know during Skylar’s 3.5 weeks here…
All my ASMR videos are in the can just waiting to be published. I’m booked solid through July 20 with 4 videos per week. My ASMR fans will not even notice that I’m on vacation! The only thing that could go wrong is that I forget to publish on the correct day. But I’m pretty sure I’ll get that right. After all… schedule! lol
I will not be posting the daily free ebooks. That takes at least an hour and I like to do that during my coffee time. But with Skylar here, my coffee time is spent other ways, like playing a game or cards or making our plans for the day. The free ebooks list will come back on July 20.
I will most likely not be posting daily recipes either. I will, however, try to post a concoction or two that Skylar makes. That’s if I’m in a recording mood.
And speaking of recording, I will only be recording if I really feel like it. Skylar is only here for 3.5 weeks this time and I do not want to spend my time editing. Just don’t. I’ll try to record some snippets of our time together and that might work out well. Short and sweet is what I’ll aim for.
I plan on recording for my Patrons. Again, as I can. As I feel up to it. Nothing will be forced. I have my very own guidelines that I made up and printed and that is what I go by now. My custom guidelines to keep my head on straight. Pretty much a lifesaver for me!
I hope to upload to Skylar’s World. I’m sure during 3.5 weeks, we’ll be able to make that happen. If Skylar really wants us to record something for her channel, I’ll make it happen. If she is not in the mood, I’m not going to push it. We are both on vacation!
Oh! Something new I’ve been doing is posting some ebay finds on my blog every day. That’s time consuming too, so that might not happen again until July 20, not unless I happen to have the time, like if Skylar naps or goes to bed early. But I will try to pop in to the Peanut Gallery group and Patreon with things I find on eBay and post to the group! These are like mini frenzies only I’m not the one selling the goods. Join my group to get in on these deals!
And for an actual Fabric Frenzy, I have a new idea!!! Not sure at all if it’s going to happen, so I don’t want to say too much right now. I need to talk to Skylar first. She will need to be on board with helping me and if she says yes, I need for her to understand that this will be a job (a paying job!) and once we start there is no turning back. I’m anxious to chat with her about it. Our very own business meeting! If this happens, I’m aiming for July 7-ish which is 6 weeks after the last frenzy. If we do this, it’s going to be on a very small scale. But it will at least be something new for me to test. An new way of selling. Fingers crossed that we can do this!
