Happy hump day everyone! Skylar and I survived the fireworks and parade! Now it’s time to just get back to crafting, crafting and more crafting! lol And I really need to decide if I want to do fabric again while she is here. If I do that, I need to get it today. We had a very busy few days with the 4th of July activities. We hit the Fireworks on Monday night, then we got up early to watch the Parade on Tuesday. Today we get to kick back and relax! I’m still in shock that Skylar only has 2 more weeks here. I was so sure I booked her trip for longer. But it was just 5 weeks, not 5½ like I planned. Now I feel like I’ve lost those few precious days! I will be booking my trip soon to visit her in October. That will make me feel better. And for sure I’ll be throwing myself into my work after she leave to lessen the blow. Not sure what we will be doing today. We want to get Skylar’s Giveaway up and running, so there’s that. Please subscribe to Skylar’s World so you don’t miss out! I’m also recording the making of Skylar and her mother’s matching mother/daughter t-shirt dresses and I might get that done today. I’d still also like to record Skylar’s stats on her channel. I think she might really enjoy recording that. No promises. It’s hard to know what she’ll be in the mood for. I have not done a Snippets video for a bit, so I might want to record one of those too. And maybe we will go out today? Again, just not sure. If we do go out, I’ll take you with us! Happy Tuesday! It’s the 4th of July and I’m up early so I can be ready for the parade. Our lovely parade. lol It’s usually so simple that it’s comical, but fun just the same. I had a bad night last night. Since I’ve been eating a diet based on meat only (7½ months so far), I have only had any kind of indigestion twice. Last night was one of those times. I tossed and turned and finally just got up to walk around a bit then I started to feel better. It really is amazing how much I can eat and rarely do I even feel full or uncomfortable. I have no clue where all the meat goes! Last night I ate at least a pound of ground beef just before bed but I added some sharp cheddar. It’s the cheddar that got to me. Had I eaten just the beef I would have been fine. And yes, it’s okay to eat right before bed. I eat when I’m hungry. I stop when I’m satisfied. Cave girl here. Skylar napped yesterday but then fell asleep on the early side. So she woke up during the middle of the night and I felt so bead because I was not feeling well. I see now that she brought all kinds of activities to her bed like beads, play money, other stuff. Looks like she entertained herself. And I remember her saying she was getting something to eat. I have no clue what she got. lol I need to wake her soon for the parade. Did I mention I’m tired yet? Don’t think so. Last thing in the world that I want to do is go to a parade and sit in the hot, bright sun. I can’t wait for bed time!!! Yesterday, I did get some videos uploaded. First, I uploaded Skylar Dyes My Hair which was actually recorded the day before. We had fun and the color came out great. And my hair feels silky soft again. I love the feel of freshly dyed hair. Then Skylar and I hit the fireworks last night. We were standing in the bathroom line when they started so we had to watch from there. We had a tree in the way of our view. But Sandy met us there and she grabbed my camera and recorded for me. I was happy to have the footage! And the ending was quite nice. You can see the fireworks here. I have no clue what the video will be for today. I’m sure I’ll come up with something. And we want to get a video on Skylar’s channel too… a giveaway! We’d love for her to reach 1,000 subbies while in Maine so a giveaway might just be what she needs to get there. She already picked out the prizes yesterday! I’m so sleepy right now that I can’t imagine doing much more editing than that. But we’ll see. Have a great Tuesday! Happy Monday everyone! Skylar and I had another busy day yesterday. We accomplished a lot! We started our day by playing board games. We ended our night by playing board games. lol I got two board games at the thrift store for only 50¢ each. Both are old and the rules are complicated, but we use the boards and the pieces and we make up our own games. Sometimes we don’t even use the boards. One came with play money. Both came with dice and various cards. Just so much we can do with all that, all for a total of $1.00. Too fun! Skylar also dyed my hair! I did not have time to edit that video yet, so hopefully I’ll get that done today. And Skylar’s mother, Janet, requested matching mother/daughter t-shirt dresses so we ran over to Walmart for t-shirts then to Marden’s for skirt fabric. I hope to make those dresses in the next week. When we got back home, I recorded my Youtube Earnings Update for the full month of June. You must check it out to see how I did! I was quite happy! While that was uploading, I got all the long quarters of fabric packaged and put those out for the carrier. Phew! Tonight Sanford has their fireworks. We will be going out to see those. Then tomorrow is the parade. What I hate about the parade is that it’s early, 10:00am. And it’s usually hot and sunny. And the parade is not very exciting. But it’s the early hour and the brightness of the day that I hate so much. I can totally tolerate a boring parade. As for other stuff, not sure. I’d like to record some of the fireworks and for sure I want to get the hair video uploaded. Then of course we will be playing games. And I might hit Marden’s to pick out more fabric for another listing. Just not sure what I want for cuts this time. Skylar also wants to make more muffins in the toaster oven. She’s becoming a toaster oven connoisseur! I might start a series for toaster oven concoctions after she leaves. What do you think about that? Leave your toaster oven comments here! And guess what? Skylar and I just talked it over and she will be doing a giveaway on her channel, Skylar’s World, very soon! So please stay tuned for that. Not sure what the prize will be, but my best guess is that it will involve craft supplies. lol So excited! I also want to start a monthly giveaway for my channel. I’ve been wanting to do that for so long but just never seem to find the time to get it started. I will try really hard to do that after Skylar leaves. Have a great Monday! Happy Sunday! We had a very productive day yesterday even though I was EXHAUSTED and HOT the entire day. I listed my Paper Beads on eBay and also recorded a quick video to tell you more about the beads. Then I made Skylar’s New T-Shirt Dress because she wanted to wear this t-shirt dress but it was in the wash. So I whipped up another one. I also finished cutting all the fabric to fill the sold out orders on this Long Quarters listing and I got all the postage and the packing slips printed. Today I must package them for tomorrow’s pickup. We went to both libraries to return books and DVDs, then we hit Family Dollar for temporary tattoos then Hannaford for some groceries. When we got home, I did laundry and Skylar baked muffins in the toaster oven.And I also put together my mother’s pills for next week. Skylar and I still found time to play board games for at least 3 hours total spread out during the day. I kept up with dirty dishes. Did I mention I was exhausted? I recorded none of our day except the making of the dress. Just too much going on and I could not think straight. I needed a camera free day! Oh, and with all that running around on very little sleep, Skylar was wide awake until 1:45am. I fell asleep around 3:00am. We need to move into a cave together! Today I hope to accomplish hair dyeing. For sure I have to package all the fabric. And I’d like to record my youtube earnings update and I’m thinking of Skylar doing the same for her channel. We also want to go to Walmart and Skylar’s mom just requested matching mother/daughter t-shirt dresses, so I need to shop for t-shirts and let Skylar pick the fabric. Did I mention I’m exhausted? LOL Big Bother tonight!!! It’s one of the few “adult” shows that Skylar loves to watch so I get quality TV time tonight!!! Have a great Sunday! Darlene xoxo
