Happy Sunday!
I hope today is a good day for all of us. I had a rough day yesterday. I know I let it show a bit in my Tag Along with Me to Walmart video, and some have reached out to me with concern for my depression. Just want everyone to know, this is not depression. It was just a “life sucks” kind of day. I have not felt depression since I started eating from the animal kingdom only. I’m really starting to be convinced that depression, at least in my case, is all carb and fiber related. The more I learn, the more research I do, the more convinced I am that many mental health issues can be cured or at least eased by changing the way you eat. You just have to find what’s right for you.
Today, I would like to sew. I need to make myself two new shirts for my trip. Well, I don’t need to, but I’d like to. I got some rayon fabric from my aunt’s fabric stash and I want to put it to good use!
I am also trying something totally off the wall when it comes to deals blogging. I’m moving away from my Simply Shaw’s blog and seeing what happens if I post deals and coupons and stuff directly to Youtube. I know my old deals followers will not like this method. In fact, I expect they will hate it. But that old method no longer works. There is zero money for me make on coupon prints any more. There are just too many changes with the affiliates. So I’m going to try to beef up Youtube earnings on my deals channel. I recently changed the name of that channel from Simply Shaw’s back to a name that will be familiar to many of you, Deals by Darlene. I won’t even ask you to subscribe, because if you are still with me from the old days, watching deals videos will not be up your alley. But I’m testing it to see if there is a new audience out there.

NOTE:I get messages asking me why I post these types of recipes while I’m following a zero carb animal kingdom only food plan. My answer is because I’m following ZC, but I bet you’re not! Just because I eat a certain way does not mean I have to limit myself to sharing only meat recipes. I’m not the carb police! lol
1 can Pillsbury refrigerated crusty French loaf, baked as directed on can (recipe works better if bread is 1 day old)
1/2 cup chocolate chips
2 cups chocolate milk
4 eggs
1/4 cup Golden Grahams cereal
8 to 10 regular marshmallows
Darlene’s Tip:You don’t have to use brand names!
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1: Cut or tear baked French loaf into 1/2-inch cubes. In ungreased 3-quart baking dish, combine bread cubes and chocolate chips. Set aside.
Step 2: In medium bowl, beat milk and eggs with whisk until combined. Pour over bread mixture in baking dish. Cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate at least 2 hours. For best results, refrigerate overnight.
Step 3: When ready to bake, heat oven to 350°F. Uncover baking dish. Sprinkle cereal evenly over top. Bake 50 minutes.
Step 4: With kitchen scissors, cut marshmallows in half. Without turning oven off, remove baking dish from oven. Top casserole with marshmallows.
Step 5: Return to oven; bake 2 to 3 minutes longer or until marshmallows are puffed and toasty. Watch carefully so marshmallows do not burn! Serve warm. Store in refrigerator.

This is a great price for 101 cookie cutters, and they are Wilton! Lots of awesome shapes! This makes a great gift to pick up for a future birthday gift, or if you have lots of kids that you make Easter Baskets for, you can separate them and tuck some into each basket! Or have a cookie cutter hunt instead of an egg hunt! Cookie cutters are great to make sandwich shape too. And kids love to use them with Play-Doh!

NOTE: I still watch TV like in the olden days! I don’t watch DVDs. I don’t record stuff to watch later. I don’t watch online. I’m a dinosaur! If you are too, hang out with me to see what I’m watching!
20/20 on Saturday night? And it says ‘New” in the TV Guide listings. Why have I not heard about this? I’m thinking maybe the fact that it is on Saturday too is new, but I’m thinking the actual episodes might be repeats. I don’t know. I can’t really find much out about it. But they have two episodes tonight. I’m sure they must be repeats, but I’ll check them out just the same.

My other option, which I’m sure will be my mother’s choice, is a new Lifetime Movie, Under the Bed. If it was scary enough to make me hide under the covers, I’d be one happy camper. But these movies are usually so lame. Thinking I might give it a try. Not sure yet.

Yesterday – Friday 1/6 – Day 51
NOTE:Yes, I know, that meal looks like one sorry ass mess! It does. But it’s fuel, folks. Only fuel. And it filled me up nicely, so it did its job. Cave girls don’t need pretty food. lol
When I got up, I had my usual cup of coffee with hwc. I do this every day.
At 3:30pm, I ate the mess you see above. I ate all of it. Every ugly bite! There’s a mad mix of meat in that and I have them listed below. This is what I call my “leftovers” meal because it consists of all meats that I had as leftovers from the past 2 days. This one also included eggs. I just warmed it all up in one pan in butter. And no, I did not eat blindfolded. lol
At 4:00pm, I had a decafe with hwc.
At 9:00pm, I ate a little bit of deli ham. I didn’t have much. Now I’m all out of the deli ham that I bought here.
At 12:15am, I got out of bed, cooked a pound of ground beef and ate about half of that, then back to bed I went. Oh, and a swig of cream.
Food that entered my mouth yesterday: beef slices, ground beef, chicken, bacon ends, hot sausage, deli ham, eggs, butter, light cream, heavy whipping cream, coffee, salt, pepper, lots of water.
PLEASE READ: Please remember that it’s MY CHOICE to eat the way I want. If you think this is unhealthy, know I’m not as concerned with physical health. I’m more concerned with my mental health. I’m on a mission to feel better mentally… without cravings!!! I’m willing to test this so you don’t have to! But what works for me might not work for you. I’m not doing this to lose weight. I’m doing this because I’m convinced that I’m overly sensitive to carbs and that I must stay away from them if there is any chance of me feeling better. I’m eating from the animal kingdom only, like the complete opposite of vegan. I know this upsets many, but I promise I won’t eat your pets. You are free to follow my progress/failures and you can even disagree with what I do. Just remember that I will get the last word because it’s my blog, my channel, my life! That’s the new me talking! (I think I’m growing balls! Let me look… yes, I see one starting to grow!)

Happy Saturday!
I don’t know if you noticed, but I’m trying to bring more stuff to this blog, more stuff like I used to have before, but not so much about coupon deals. Although I may add a few coupon deals here and there, just not sure. I’m trying hard to get back to ONE blog. One. I no longer have a team to help me so it’s just little old me doing all this work and it is very time consuming. Anywho, I want to bring back things like restaurant deals, birthday freebies, free National Park admission days, frugal living, family fun, kids printables, gift ideas and so much more! Of course, I’ll still be including the free ebooks posts (those get lots of views!) and recipes for non-carnivores (lol). And yes, I’ll still also be posting what I ate yesterday and what I’m watching on TV. So just humor me. lol
As for videos, last night I had a chat with you about the new videos I’ll be trying this year. Many of you gave me such awesome suggestions to choose from! I am very anxious to start my series on transforming thrift store finds into something new, not just clothing, but other stuff too! And I think story time will be super fun too, along with life hacks, unique objects, more random facts and so much more!
I was very excited about today, had lots of plans to get stuff done before my trip, but then life got in the way and changed my plans, so not sure what I’ll be doing for a video next. As for videos while I’m in Memphis, you can bet your sweet bippy that I’ll be creating videos with Skylar! She has already been warned! lol
