TGIF!
I’m heading out on a new journey! I’m going to try a ZERO carb way of life, just to see if it will work even better for me than my LOW carb way of life. I felt so good eating low carb with very little sugar but I ended up falling off the wagon after about a year of eating that way. I want back on the wagon, but this time I’m cutting back even more which will make my life even easier. The shorter my food list gets, the less I have to shop!
And don’t worry, this will not be bad for me. Might be bad for you, but not bad for me. I’m doing this for my mental health and will be talking about it. You don’t have to agree with me but if you give me medical advice, I’d like to see your credentials. lol
I talked in depth about this on my Tag Along to Hannaford yesterday. So if you think you might want to watch my progress or failures, you should subscribe to my channel!
I need to go out again today for heavy cream and butter. I’ll be going to either Walmart or Shaw’s, and I can take my camera into both those stores, so I’ll be taking you in with me!
Darlene’s Tip:You can totally make this even easier and quicker by using store bought cookies! And you do not have to buy Betty Crocker brand ingredients.
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1: Heat oven to 375°F. In medium bowl, stir cookie mix, butter and egg until soft dough forms. On ungreased cookie sheets, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart.
Steop 2: Bake 11 to 14 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely, about 15 minutes.
Step 3: Frost and decorate 1 cookie at a time. After spreading frosting on cookie, add candy corn for feathers. Pipe yellow icing for beak and feet. Add M&M’s™ minis chocolate candies for eyes; pipe black gel for center of each eye.

Happy Thursday!
My mother left the house yesterday! She had a doctor appointment. I rode her up and down the new ramp in her wheel chair for the first time. She is very slow at moving. It’s like watching a sloth get in and out of the car. But we did it! And all her vitals were good. Amazingly good! I guess her secret is living off bread, pasta, sugar and salt. It’s working for her! lol
I was exhausted after our outing and was not up to recording. I was in bed by 9:30pm and read stuff on my ipad until maybe 1:00am. And I’m convinced I really have to go back to my low carb way of life. I fell into some bad carbs again and I don’t even know why. And now it’s like I don’t think I can go back because my cravings are so strong. But those cravings went away before, and I’m sure they can go away again. It’s worth a shot! I have cravings. Hate them. And I swear my depression was not as bad with low carbs. And I had no more headaches. Gotta find my way back!
No clue what I’m doing today. Not even going to make guesses. But I will try very hard to have a video today since I took the night off yesterday. Stay tuned!

Microwave Baked Apples with Granola
INGREDIENTS:
2 large crisp apples (such as Braeburn, Gala or Fuji)
2 tablespoons raisins or sweetened dried cranberries
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
4 teaspoons butter or margarine, softened
4 crunchy granola bars (2 pouches from 8.9-oz box) (any flavor), crushed
milk, cream or fruit-flavored yogurt, if desired
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1: Cut apples in half lengthwise. Using spoon, remove and discard cores, making at least a 1-inch indentation in each apple half. In microwavable pie plate, arrange apple halves, cut sides up. If needed, cut thin slice off bottoms to keep halves from tipping.
Step 2: Fill each apple half evenly with raisins and brown sugar; dot with butter. Cover with microwavable plastic wrap, folding back one edge 1/4 inch to vent steam.
Step 3: Microwave on High 5 to 6 minutes or until apples are tender. Top each with granola. Serve with milk.

Happy hump day everyone!
I will be taking my mother out of the house today! Granted, it’s for a doctor appointment, but it’s still an outing. That is this afternoon, so I’m not even thinking about what I will plan on doing after that. I might just collapse. lol
Last night I was able to upload my Tag Along with Me to Walmart video. I was not feeling too chipper. I started out okay, but petered out toward the end. No surprise there! lol
Not much else to report. Does anyone here watch Survivor? I still love that show. I think it has been a good season. If you watch, let me know here!
