I got all this stuff for FREE during my recent Mini Extreme shopping trips!

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

Every now and then, I gather my coupons that I know will get me free stuff and I head out on a mission to get only free things!

The items you see above were purchased at Walmart, Shaw’s, CVS and Hannaford (and Peeps from Rite Aid not in the photo).  I was only successful at getting half the items on my list due to the stores being out of stock (Panko, Pom, KY, and more.) or due to store prices being higher than I expected (Say Yes to Carrots, DC Sea Salt), but it was a good run just the same!

Oh, I tried twice to get to Save-A-Lot for free scissors, but I both times I got there too late (closed by 8pm???). They supposedly have Scotch scissors on sale for $1 and I have coupons for $1 off. I hope to get there today!

Here’s how I got all the stuff you see for FREE!  I don’t have time right now to list all the coupons. If you want to know where to get certain coupons, just ask and I’ll see if I can find the source!!!

Walmart:

6 rolls Duck brand packing tape (free after coupon)
6 Johnson’s baby powder (money maker after coupon)
6 Johnson’s baby lotion (money maker after coupon)
4 packs AAA Rayovac batteries (money maker after coupon)
8 boxes Dulcolax (money maker after coupon)
12 pints Oakhurst egg nog (12 cents each after coupons)

After all the overages from the money makers, Walmart paid me $1.33 cash. I used that money to cover the cost of the other transactions at the other stores.

Shaw’s:

(4) 2-liters Coke Zero (free after coupons)
(2) 20 ounce Diet Cokes (free after coupons)
4 rolls Homelife toilet paper (money maker after coupons)
1 Diamond Crystal kosher salt (money maker after coupons and SavingStar)
1 Diamond Crystal salt sense (10 cents after coupons and SavingStar)

Hannaford:

2 cans pineapple (19 cents each after coupons)

CVS:

1 box Band Aids (free after coupon)
2 bags Ricola (25 cents each after coupons)
1 Carmex lip balm (money maker after coupon)

Rite Aid:

8 boxes of Peeps (free after coupons) – not in photo because I immediately gave them to my mother.

The $1.33 that I got from Walmart covered all other items plus the tax plus the deposit on one soda.  All I had to pay was the deposit on the other 5 bottles of soda and I will get that back! So, I got everything for nothing!

I was tickled to get these 6 GREEN PEPPERS for only 62 CENTS in reduced produce at Shaw’s

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

One of my favorite things to do is walk around the reduced sections at Shaw’s to see what treasures I can find.  I often see peppers, but they are usually marked 59¢ to 99¢ per pound and that’s still too much for my liking.

Tonight, I found 3 packs of green peppers marked down to 20¢ per pound.  I got all 6 peppers for only 62¢ total!  And they are in near perfect shape with just a couple dings. I will be slicing these up, blanching them and freezing for future stir fry dinners!

I love Shaw’s!

Even if you don’t have a reduced section, this coupon will come in handy during a sale. It will double to $1 off at Shaw’s!

$.50/1 Kraft Big Slice Cheese Slices – if this link does not take you right to it, use zip code 45501 then click on Food to find it.

CHEAP Work Gloves, CHEAP Amonia and maybe FREE Toilet Paper at Shaw’s this week!

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

I walked around Shaw’s tonight to check the prices of certain Homelife products. I was looking for a way to use the $1/1 Homelife cleaning or trash bag product that is in the current Shaw’s coupon booklet (check your Shaw’s, there should still be more booklets).  There are plenty of Homelife options, but I really wanted to find stuff that would be 50¢ or less after the coupon.

I found Homelife Rubber Gloves (or whatever they are made of) for $1.49, so 49¢ after the coupon.

They also had Homelife Amonia for $1.49, so 49¢ after the coupon.

And then there is Homelife Toilet Paper. A single roll is 95¢, so it would be FREE after the coupon.  I know, I know… the coupon is for a cleaning product.  But, toilet paper cleans something, doesn’t it? LOL  Let me know if you dare give it a try!

My 5 quick and easy transactions at Shaw’s – I got all this for $1.92

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

I ran over to Shaw’s to do a few quick transactions so I could pick up some free spaghetti for my mother. While I was there, I noticed the Homelife paper towels still had the 10/$10 sign and the sale date on the sign said 1/26/12. The paper towels ended up ringing in at $1.27 because the sign was wrong. But, since the sign was there, and since it did indeed have a current sale date, they adjusted the price so I got them free with coupon :O)

I also noticed they had Homelife all purpose lemon cleaner in reduced grocery marked down to 90¢ each! I used the homelife coupon to get those for free (and even got the overage!).

Here’s what I got in my 5 transactions (yes, I leave then go back):

Styrofoam cooler on clearance for 75¢
3 rolls Homelife paper towels free with coupons
2 bottles Homelife cleaner free with coupons
5 boxes Essential Everyday spaghetti free with coupons
4 kiwi fruits from reduced produce 41¢
3 plum tomatoes from reduced produce 45¢
1 package snow peas from reduced produce 22¢

After tax and with the itty bitty overage on the cleaner, I paid only $1.92 for everything!

Sanford Shaw’s Alert – Reduced Produce and Reduced Dairy sections are FULL

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

I walked around Shaw’s in Sanford on Sunday night and the reduced produce and reduced dairy sections were FULL of stuff! I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much stuff!  I wish I had my camera with me so I could show you. Instead, I took notes.

Reduced non-refrigerated Produce (by the produce doors) had two tall racks and each shelf was filled with stuff. They had…

potatoes .29/lb
bananas .29/lb and not too ripe, perfect for banana bread
vine ripe and plum tomatoes .99/lb and they were firm
pears .59/lb
oranges .49/lb
celery .50 to $1.00 per pack
all kinds of peppers (didn’t note the price)
zucchini .69/lb
snow peas .59/lb
and lots more!

Reduced Dairy was overloaded with yogurt. I know there had to be 60 to 80 (if not more) 4-packs of various yogurt. Here is just some of what they had:

Fage yogurt, big 17.6 oz tubs $1.00 each
Activia 4-packs, $1.00 per pack
Yoplait 4-packs $1.00 per pack
Dannon 4-packs $1.00 per pack
Yoplait Delight Parfait 4-packs $1.00 per pack
Dannon Oikos fruit on bottom singles .40 each
Yoplait Greek singles .35 each
Cabot Greek yogurt 2 lb tubs, $1.50
8 half gallons Oakhurst milk $1.75 each
and so much more other stuff!

If you are heading out to Shaw’s on Monday, be sure you check out the reduced sections and bring your coupons with you! You can usually get free stuff by using coupons on reduced dairy!
