So excited for TV time tonight!!! My mother’s boyfriend, Michael Bublé (second to Engelbert), has his Christmas special tonight!!! She absolutely loves him!
Then don’t change the channel when that’s done! Next up is Tony Bennett’s 90th birthday celebration! And here’s a secret… I think Tony Bennett is super attractive! Really, I do. I have a big crush on him. And I love his music too!
His birthday bash is star studded with performances by Andrea Bocelli, Michael Buble, Bob Dylan, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Billy Joel, Elton John, Diana Krall, k.d. lang, Leslie Odom, Jr., Kevin Spacey, Stevie Wonder, Rufus Wainwright and lsat but not least, Tony Bennett!
There are also appearances by Garth Brooks, Steve Buscemi, Celine Dion, Dustin Hoffman, Queen Latifah, Robert De Niro, Don Rickles, Wynton Marsalis, Paul McCartney, John McEnroe, Miss Piggy, Regis Philbin, Keith Richards, Homer Simpson, Carrie Underwood, Bruce Willis, Oprah Winfrey and Trisha Yearwood.
REMINDER:I’m not doing this to lose weight! In fact, I’ll be shocked if I ever lose weight eating this way! lol. I know many of the ZC vets who have lost weight eating meat only say they gained at first and that weight loss was slow going. But many of them have also kept all their weight off and have been happily eating this way for years! I’m in this for the health benefits, mainly for my mental health. However, I promised I would weigh myself on New Year’s Day for the curious minds, and I am still planning on doing that, so stay tuned!
Yesterday – Monday 12/19 – Day 33
I had my usual cup of coffee with hwc when I got up.
At 1:30pm, I was in the mood for a burger! I made one. I would have made it bigger, but that was all the groud beef that I happened to have that was not frozen. Since that burger was not enough (I would have made an entire plate-sized burger), I added the rest of my leftovers from yesterday’s lunch, which included a half eaten pork chop plus various other meats ( listed below). All cooked in lovely butter.
At 6:00pm, I had a cup of decafe with hwc.
At 7:00pm, I sliced up some beef and some of my pork tenderloin. I cooked that in butter and also added bacon. I ate a nice plateful of that concoction.
At Midnight, I suddenly wanted eggs. I cooked 6 eggs in butter and ate every bit of that. Had a swig of cream then off to bed I went!
Food that entered my mouth yesterday: ground beef, pork chop, hot sausage, chicken, beef slices, beef liver, bacon, pork tenderloin, eggs, butter, light cream, heavy whipping cream, coffee, salt, pepper, lots of water.
PLEASE READ: Please remember that it’s MY CHOICE to eat the way I want. If you think this is unhealthy, know I’m not as concerned with physical health. I’m more concerned with my mental health. I’m on a mission to feel better mentally… without cravings!!! I’m willing to test this so you don’t have to! But what works for me might not work for you. I’m not doing this to lose weight. I’m doing this because I’m convinced that I’m overly sensitive to carbs and that I must stay away from them if there is any chance of me feeling better. I’m eating from the animal kingdom only, like the complete opposite of vegan. I know this upsets many, but I promise I won’t eat your pets. You are free to follow my progress/failures and you can even disagree with what I do. Just remember that I will get the last word because it’s my blog, my channel, my life! That’s the new me talking! (I think I’m growing balls! Let me look… yes, I see one starting to grow!)

Happy Tuesday!
Before I tell you the newest thing I’m excited about, let me mention that I did not upload a new video last night. I took a night off from youtube. But if you’re craving some of the madness, you can always get caught up by watching some of my playlists! Check them out here!
Now for the new excitement. It’s nothing major, but I love my new Got It Done list that replaced my To Do list! I know To Do lists still have their place. After all, we jot stuff down that we need to do so we don’t forget to do them. But my lists end up having things on them for weeks that never get done. No need for me to keep seeing all the stuff that I never do!
My Got It Done list came in very handy yesterday. I was able to jot down some things, even mundane things, all as a way to prove to myself that even when I feel like I’ve done nothing, I’m sure I’ve always done something, even if it’s resting my pretty mind! Rest is important. I should be happy to do it and not let it make me feel guilty.
Here are the tasks that made my list yesterday: cooked my lunch, did some knitting, took out trash, finished my dishes, one load of laundry, rested on the couch with a blankie even, worked on my blogs, did some sewing, made some paper beads, watched TV with my mother.
When I look at that list, I feel good! I’m not reminded of the fact that I have not swept my floor in weeks! Maybe with “sweep floor” not staring me in the face, maybe, just maybe, I’ll get around to it one of these days. If not, no biggie. I’m not going to beat myself up over it. I did other things equally as important!

Today I’m trying something new! Instead of looking at my To Do list and hating every task on there, no matter how small the task may be, I’m going to toss it. And I’m starting a new list… my Got It Done list!
I’m just putting a blank piece of paper on my desk. If I accomplish a task that I feel is worthy of jotting down, I will add it to the list of things I got done. And it might be as simple as picking up something that has been sitting on the floor forever. I seriously have a hard time with tasks like that because they seem so tiny that they make no impact. So, instead of doing lots of tiny tasks that help keep my place picked up, I just leave them there to gather. And then it becomes hoarder territory. You know what I mean, jelly bean?
Just wanted to put my idea out there for those of you who might like to also toss out your To Do list and try a Got It Done list instead. I’d much rather look at a piece of paper with only accomplishments than a piece of paper with some stuff scratched off and other tasks still staring me in the face. It’s worth a shot! lol

NOTE:I get messages asking me why I post these types of recipes while I’m following a zero carb animal kingdom only food plan. My answer is because I’m following ZC, but I bet you’re not! Just because I eat a certain way does not mean I have to limit myself to sharing only meat recipes. I’m not the carb police! lol
2 packages (1 oz each) instant cocoa mix
1/2 cup crème de cacao
1/4 cup peppermint schnapps
1/4 cup cognac*
Sweetened whipped cream, if desired
Chocolate shavings, if desired
*Darlene’s Tip:You can skip the cognac if you want. The peppermint schnapps and crème de cacao will be tasty enough! Or you could add the brandy of your choice. Does not have to be cognac.
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1: Make cocoa mix as directed on package, using water instead of milk. In small bowl, stir together crème de cacao, schnapps and cognac; stir into hot cocoa.
Step 2: Pour mixture evenly into 4 Irish coffee glasses. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
Kids’ Version:For a non-alcoholic version of this drink, just skip all the booze and add a drop or two of peppermint extract. And stick a candy cane in it!
