What I Ate Yesterday – Day 28 – Four Weeks Down!!! I’ll Just Keep Going!!!

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

img_3502-3

HAPPY DANCE!!! Yesterday I completed 4 full weeks of eating zero carb animal kingdom only!  And I felt almost perfect the whole time!  I had just one day that I felt like it was going to all fall apart.  I could feel depression coming in. I felt dread and doom and despair. But I stuck to only meat and turned it around quickly (see here).  So next time depression tries to sneak in, I can tell myself that it might be very temporary as long as I don’t give in to it. Had I eaten carbs to medicate, I would have caused way more harm than good.

ALSO… I want to remind you that if you are curious about this way of life, you can get lots of great info using the links I provide below. And you are welcome to read posts in this public group that I’m in.  I just posted there about my one month journey.  I can’t thank Kelly Hogan enough for what she did for me, all without even knowing I exsisted!  I hope I can do that for others now!

Yesterday – Wednesday 12/14 – Day 28

I had my usual cup of coffee with hwc when I got up.

At 2:30pm, I feasted on that beautiful meal you see above.  Yes, I know many think my food pics are disgusting (including my own son, lol) but to me, they are masterpieces!  I added a couple of new items to my plate and now I think I’m always going to want shrimp and even hot sausage as part of my meal.  This is what is on my plate, starting at the top and moving clockwise: a pork chop, a big piece of beef liver, some slices of beef, shrimp, a hot sausage link cut into 4 pieces, bacon ends, and in the center I have chicken breast. All cooked in butter.  All superb!!!  I ate about 3/4 of what was on that plate.

At 7:00pm, I ate the rest of what was left on my plate from earlier.  I ate it cold this time.

At 8:00pm, I feasted on deli roast beef that I cooked!!!  All by my lonesome!  lol  Is it as tasty as what I get at the Hannaford deli?  Nope.  But it’s also not soaked in all the stuff I don’t want. Mine had just a bit of salt and pepper as a rub, oh, and also rubbed with butter.  I will be cooking another one soon and will record it next time. And pretty sure I’ll be buying a slicer soon!

Before bed, I had my “shot” of heavy cream topped with light cream.  I’m on the hunt for a special shot glass for this concoction.  It’s so very delish and it deserves a special shot glass!

Food that entered my mouth yesterday:  pork chop, beef liver, top round beef, shrimp, hot sausage, bacon ends, chicken, homemade roast beef, butter, light cream, heavy whipping cream, coffee, salt, pepper, lots of water.

You can watch THIS VIDEO to learn why I’m doing this.

This is the facebook group I’m in.  It’s a public group so you can read the posts without joining.

I will be talking about this new way of life often on my Youtube channel, so please subscribe and you won’t miss a thing!

This is the article that I stumbled upon by Kelly Hogan which got me immensely excited.   And this is Kelly’s blog.

PLEASE READ: Please remember that it’s MY CHOICE to eat the way I want. If you think this is unhealthy, know I’m not as concerned with physical health. I’m more concerned with my mental health. I’m on a mission to feel better mentally… without cravings!!! I’m willing to test this so you don’t have to! But what works for me might not work for you. I’m not doing this to lose weight. I’m doing this because I’m convinced that I’m overly sensitive to carbs and that I must stay away from them if there is any chance of me feeling better. I’m eating from the animal kingdom only, like the complete opposite of vegan. I know this upsets many, but I promise I won’t eat your pets. You are free to follow my progress/failures and you can even disagree with what I do. Just remember that I will get the last word because it’s my blog, my channel, my life! That’s the new me talking! (I think I’m growing balls! Let me look… yes, I see one starting to grow!)

Thursday Chat – One Month ZC and How Much Toilet Paper Do I Use? lol

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

chat-thursday

Happy Thursday!

Today makes one month ago that I started my new way of eating!  I can’t believe how fast time flies!  I will talk about it more on my What I Ate Yesterday series.  Did you know I record what I eat every day?  I do!  And I put it out there in case anyone is curious.  You can follow along here.

I uploaded a new 5 Random Acts video last night.  We are getting close to the end of this series!  Then I need to start a new series like that.  Any ideas?  If so, please post them HERE.

A funny thing about last night’s random facts is that I learn more and more that stuff I thought was crazy in my family, is pretty much normal!  I thought I was the only one who grew up practically forced to ration toilet paper, but I see by the comments that others were too.  And we’ve almost all turned into hand wrappers! lol  See what limiting us did?  It caused us all to be toilet paper hogs! lol

I really need to get some stuff up on eBay!  I’ve been letting that slide.  I have some totes already made that I could list.  Will try to do that today!

Oh, and I cooked my very first “deli” roast beef yesterday and it came out pretty good!  I’ll be recording the next one I make, so stay tuned!  It’s so easy!!!

Have a great Thursday!

Darlene
XOXO

Easy Homemade Caramels Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 cups heavy whipping  cream
3/4 cup light corn syrup (like Karo)

DIRECTIONS:

Step 1:  Grease bottom and sides of square baking dish, 8x8x2 or 9x9x2 inches, with butter.

Step 2:  Heat all ingredients to boiling in heavy 3-quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook about 35 minutes, stirring frequently, to 245°F on candy thermometer or until small amount of mixture dropped into cup of very cold water forms a firm ball that holds its shape until pressed. Immediately spread in baking dish. Cool completely, about 2 hours.

Step 3:  Cut into 8 rows by 8 rows, using kitchen scissors or sharp knife. Wrap individually in waxed paper or plastic wrap. Store wrapped candies in airtight container at room temperature.
