Wednesday Chat – Ummmmm…..

Happy hump day everyone!

I won’t talk about the obvious because…. well… just because! lol I think there is enough talk about it. No need to hear my point of view. Like I said in my Tag Along with Me to Vote video, I really feel like my opinions don’t matter. I’ve been trained that way.

I have some pillow shams on eBay! Please check them out! I hope to be doing lots more sewing tutorials. Just wish I had more time in the day. How nice it would have been if we only had to sleep once a week. And only eat once a week. I would totally love that! We’d have so much more free time!

I’m really quite tired since I was up very late. Not sure what I’ll be able to accomplish today. Maybe a day of rest is on the horizon. Or maybe sewing!

Have a happy Wednesday!

Pastel-Marbled Candy Bark Recipe – So Easy!

Pastel-Marbled Candy Bark Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

2 bags (12 oz. each) Nestlé Toll House Premier white morsels
2 drops pastel liquid food coloring

Darlene’s Tip: This would make a great gift for Christmas! Make some bark with red and green swirls and put in a decorative dollar store tin! You could also add a drop of peppermint extract.

DIRECTIONS:

Step 1: Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper. Draw a 13×9-inch rectangle and then flip the parchment over.

Step 2: Microwave half of the morsels in a medium, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute; stir. Add two drops of pastel food coloring and mix until combined (adjust coloring to your liking, adding more if needed). Microwave second half of morsels in a medium, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute; stir until very smooth.

Step 3: Add a few tablespoons of the melted white morsels to the edge of the rectangle on the parchment. Spread the melted white morsels into a vertical line that is an inch wide. Next, spread a few tablespoons of the pastel-colored melted white morsels in a vertical line that is an inch wide. Repeat, alternating between the two. Using a butter knife, draw diagonal lines through the melted white morsels stripes. Repeat in the opposite direction. Transfer to the refrigerator to set for 20 minutes.

Step 4: Break into small pieces.

Variations: Try neon food coloring or non-pastel colors for a bold twist.

Tuesday Chat – I’m Voting Today! 5 More Random Facts! Shaw’s Flyer and Deals!

Happy Tuesday!

It’s election day! I will be heading out to vote later. If you go out to vote, just know I support your choice no matter what it is! I talked about that a little bit in my video last night, 5 More Random Facts You Never Need to Know About Me.

And if you don’t vote, that’s your choice too. I love that we are allowed to make that decision. I only wish we could all be granted the freedom to share the choices we make without others making us feel like we are wrong simply because our choice is different than theirs, you know what I mean, jelly bean? It’s your choice. Yours. No one can take that away from you! Do what you want. I respect your choice.

’nuff ’bout that. Not sure what else I’ll be doing today. My mother will have 3 of her aides here today, so that means my hermit life will be disrupted, but for a good reason. My mother currently loves her helpers and that makes it all good.

If you are a newbie Shaw’s shopper, I made a very quick video on how to shop their upcoming Crazy 8’s Sale. You can watch that here. You can also see the new Shaw’s flyer here and the deals I’ve posted so far here.

I will be making a video soon about how I clean my remote control. I’ve been able to make an old remote work like new, so if you are curious about that, be sure you subscribe to my youtube channel so you don’t miss it!

Have a great Tuesday!
