I just found this little deal over at I Heart the Mart. Seems like small boxes of Breathe Right Strips are priced at $.97 at Walmart (might be regional). You can use the new printable coupon that just came out today to score some free Breathe Right Strips and also get change back! I actually made money this time! at Walmart on 1/26… all FREE plus overage! at Shaw’s on 1/26… almost free! at Shaw’s on 1/28… FREE plus bonus overage! At Hannaford on 1/28… one penny! OMG! The reduced produce section at the Sanford Shaw’s was bursting at the seams today (Saturday). It’s hard to tell, but there are bags and bags piled on top of each other. If you are heading in that direction, bring your coupons! Can you say FREE Fresh Express? They had at least 15 bags of Fresh Express salad, all Sweet Tender Greens or Tender Ruby Reds. They are reduced to $1.00 and that lovely Fresh Express coupon is still doubling at Sanford, with overage! (If you need the Fresh Express coupon, email me. I’m here and can zip it right over to you. I know you want to run out the door!) Looks like the date was Jan 29 for all the salad. But, I have been getting this stuff all month and these two salad mixes last a long time. In fact, today I just opened two bags with a best by date of Jan 20 and they are as fresh as ever! It’s really only the iceberg that does not last long. They also had maybe 15 to 20 bags of coleslaw, but I didn’t see Fresh Express. However, I didn’t really look hard and now I’m kicking myself because I could use some coleslaw! Those bags were $1.00 each. And there was this one big veggie tray for only $5.00. It weighs 2.5 pounds! That’s a good deal for 5 bucks. You know, you can cook these veggies! There is no law saying you have to eat them with dip. I would have loved to buy it, but $5.00 is like a million dollars to me now. So, you can have it :O)
Reduced deli was quite full too. They had lots of fried chicken, sandwich meat, Oscar Mayer bacon and a bunch of other stuff. I even got to talk to Simon the deli manager. He said reduced deli has been doing really well and he was trying to keep it stocked with lots of goodies. I told him I hoped I was part of the reason he was selling so much. He said he wants me to send everyone over! What a nice guy (and quite cute). Reduced dairy was empty. Well, it was full of eggs, but not reduced. I asked if maybe they moved the section (I was in a panic) and the guy said no. He said it just got empty so he moved eggs over there for now. He said it was full yesterday and it sold like crazy. The date on these Hannaford coupons has been reset to February 11! $1 OFF any purchase of $1 or more from Hannaford Meat Department $2 OFF any purchase of $2 or more from Hannaford Deli Department $3 OFF any order of $40 or more The $1 OFF Bakery catalina coupon is still active through today, Friday the 27th. As soon as I find out if they are doing another catalina on Saturday, I will post to let you know. Want to know how to get some freebies with these coupons? For the meat coupon, ask for $1 worth of ground beef or shaved steak… FREE! For the deli coupon, ask for $2 worth of anything from the deli… FREE! For the bakery coupon, you should be able to get 5 donut holes for FREE or put toward anything else in bakery! COUPONER TIP: Try to find meat and deli with reduced peelie coupons on the packages and stack with these printable coupons for extra savings! EXTREME COUPONER TIP: If you live near a Hannaford, go in every day and pick up a freebie or cheapie from meat and deli that you can toss in the freezer (you can get egg rolls in deli!). Little by little, it adds up to lots of goodies in your freezer for very little money… pennies, even! NOTE: The pdf coupons state one per household but they have always allowed customers to use one each time they shop. There has been lots of chatter on my facebook page about the Hannaford $1 off meat and $2 off deli coupons. I am beyond excited that so many of you are using these coupons! I just want to make sure everyone realizes the full potential of these coupons. The key word on these coupons is department. For the deli department coupon, you are not committed to buying just deli items that need to be sliced. The coupon is for anything in that department. And for the meat department coupon, you do not need to buy meat! There are lots of non-meat items in the meat department, including side dishes like ready to serve lo mein noodles or rice, Bob Evans, and more… even pickles! I posted a short list here for items that are FREE or close to free after using the coupons (most are under $.50 OOP). Look here to see what items you can pick up in the Deli dept and Meat dept (you can sort by price to find the cheapest stuff). And if you are still holding Produce coupons from the previous catalina promo, check produce! And don’t forget about the Bakery coupon that is still going on this week! One thing you need to remember is that if you buy sliced items from the deli, you can ask for $2 worth and watch the scale to make sure it reaches $2 or a few pennies over. You do not have to order 1/2 pound. Another thing you may not know is that you can ask the butcher to cut and repackage any regular priced meat as two separate packages so that each package is cheaper! Then do two separate transactions and use a coupon on each pack! That way you can save $2 total instead of just $1 on the same amount of meat. This is a good way to save if you can’t find anything with a peelie coupon. They will not separate meat that has a peelie coupon on it. And last but not least, if you grab something that is close to $1 but not quite, like a $.99 package of sandwich meat from the meat department, as long as you have a tiny bit of overage somewhere else, the coupon will work. Example: if you buy $2.01 from the deli dept and $.99 from the meat dept, the total is $3. Both $1 off meat and $2 off deli coupons will scan and you will get your items for free!
