1 pouch (6.5 oz) Betty Crocker cornbread & muffin mix
1/3 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup crumbled cooked bacon
1 egg

See my Darlene’s Concoctions videos!

DIRECTIONS:

1: Heat oven to 400°F. Grease or spray bottom of 8-inch cast-iron skillet. Heat skillet in oven about 10 minutes or until hot. Optional: You can use an 8-inch square pan (do not preheat the pan, but do preheat the oven).

2: In medium bowl, mix all ingredients. Pour into skillet or pan.

3: Bake about 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Loosen sides with knife and carefully remove from skillet to cooling rack to cool.

Darlene’s Tips: Serve with chili or baked beans or as a side to any dish (no rules!). You could make this in muffin tins if you prefer and grab on the go for a quick and easy breakfast. Instead of cooked bacon, you could use deli ham or salami cut into small pieces or you could skip the meat.

Easy Caramel Cream Cheese Dip Recipe – Just 3 Ingredients

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

Please remember that I don’t eat this stuff so I did not make this recipe. I’m just posting so you can try it!

INGREDIENTS:
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow creme
1/4 cup caramel topping
optional: extra caramel and dash of coarse salt for topping
(see tips below)

Follow Me on TikTok!

DIRECTIONS:

1: Mix cream cheese, marshmallow creme and caramel topping with electric mixer or by hand in medium bowl until mixed well and no lumps remain. Refrigerate 1 hour before serving.

Optional: Drizzle additional caramel on top of dip and sprinkle with sea salt before serving, if desired.

Search for stuff you need on Amazon, on eBay and at Walmart!

Darlene’s Tips:  To soften the cream cheese, just leave it at room temp for about an hour.  In a hurry?  Pop it in the microwave in a glass bowl and heat for 10 second intervals, checking after each, until softened (don’t let it get hot, just soft).  You can use caramel syrup if you don’t have the thicker topping. Or you can skip the caramel and just make the cream cheese marshmallow dip and leave it plain or use chocolate topping or any flavor topping. You could even try using 1/4 cup of any flavor of jelly or jam.  Perfect for dipping fruit or spread on crackers. This might also make an unusual yet super delish frosting for cookies, cakes or brownies!

Birthday Cake Bread Recipe – Easy Cake Mix Hack

birthday cake mix bread recipe betty crocker darlene michaud

Please remember that I don’t eat this stuff so I did not test this recipe. I’m just posting so you can try it!

Check out this huge selection of Betty Crocker Cookbooks!

INGREDIENTS:
1 box Betty Crocker Super Moist yellow cake mix
1 box (3.4 oz) vanilla-flavor instant pudding & pie filling mix
1 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
1/3 cup rainbow sprinkles
1/2 cup vanilla frosting

DIRECTIONS:

1:  Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour bottoms only of two 8×4-inch loaf pans.

2:  In large bowl, beat cake mix, dry pudding mix, water, oil and eggs with electric mixer on medium speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Stir in 1/4 cup of the sprinkles. Divide batter evenly between pans.

3:  Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; run metal spatula around edge of loaves to loosen. Remove from pans to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 1 hour.

4:  Spread frosting on tops of loaves. Sprinkle with remaining sprinkles. When ready to serve, cut into slices.

Darlene’s Tips:  You could do this with any flavor cake mix and you certainly do not have to add the sprinkles. You could add chopped nuts instead or anything you want. A spice cake with chopped nuts would be delish and top with cream cheese frosting!

Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad – Easy 5-Ingredient Potluck Recipe

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

Please remember that I don’t eat this stuff so I did not make this recipe. I’m just posting so you can try it!

INGREDIENTS:
1 lb box of pasta of your choice
3 cups shredded or pulled deli rotisserie chicken
1 cup crisply cooked and crumbled bacon (9 to 11 slices)
2 cups shredded Italian cheese blend (8 oz)
1 bottle (16 oz) ranch dressing

DIRECTIONS:

1:  Cook and drain pasta as directed on package.  Let it cool completely.

2:  In large bowl, add pasta, chicken, bacon and cheese. Toss to blend.

3:  Add ranch dressing, as little or as much as you want (see my tips below).  Mix until well blended. Store in refrigerator.

Search for stuff you need on Amazon, on eBay and at Walmart!

Darlene’s Tips:  The dressing will soak into the pasta if you are not serving right away. If you are serving later, you might want to add a bit more dressing just before serving. You could even wait to add all the dressing just before serving. You can use chopped deli sandwich meat instead of the shredded chicken (chicken, turkey, ham, whatever) and you could use real bacon bits for the bacon. Add whatever other ingredients you want, just plan on using more dressing.
