OOPS! Fresh Express Only 40 CENTS (not 90) at Shaw’s thru 1/10 with 50% OFF Sale and Printable Store Coupon

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

I did some price checking at Shaw’s today and I noticed quite a few varieties of Fresh Express are BOGO at $2.79!  Use a store coupon to go with that sale and you can score cheap salad greens!

I was thinking the Fresh Express was a bogo sale, (bogo, 50%, sounds almost the same…lol) but it’s not!  The deal just got better! (thanks Lail for straightening me out!)

Here’s the new and improved deal at Shaw’s through 1/10:

Buy (1) bag Fresh Express BOGO at $2.79, 50% off, so $1.40
Use (1) $1/1 Fresh Express printable Shaw’s store coupon
Final price is only $.40!

There is also a Fresh Express manny Q in the Hannaford magazine in the store. I have not seen it so not sure if that will double. I’m told it says redeemable at Hanny but not redeem “only” at Hanny so you should be able to use it.  There were also some coupons in some stores, so I’m told :O)

My Shopping Trip at Shaw’s – All for $16.30 (mostly on toilet paper)

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

This is what I got at Shaw’s today (1/4).  I can’t possibly break it all down because I’m beat. I think most of you know the deals. If not, ask me and I’ll direct you to the posts that will help you out.

I will give you some details.

All sale prices had to be changed manually in Sanford, no matter how high your total is. They told me that before I even got to the register.  All bonus coupons had to be entered manually too. They are hoping this gets fixed soon. Be sure you know what your final total is supposed to be.

The Stretch Island Fruit Chews (in Sanford) are in aisle 4 sort of near the “candy” sign on the bottom shelf.  As expected, the coupons only double up to the regular price of $.69.

I got that Earthbound Farm lettuce in reduced and I did not see any more in the store.

These are the items I got for the bonus coupons:
EE cooking spray, $1.99, $.49 after coupon
WH honey, $3.19, $.19 after email coupon and bonus coupon (let me use both)
CC spinach dip in reduced deli, $.49 after $1.00 stickie and bonus coupon
EQ bandages, $2.49, free after bonus coupon

I got this stuff. I shop in Sanford and I get the overages
If you want to know which coupons I used, leave a comment
(2) Scott toiler paper, 12 rolls
(4) boxes Cheerios
(18) Yoplait (Simplait, Lactose Free)
(2) Yoplait Greek
(4) Chex Mix
(4) Stretch Island Fruit Chews
(2) Bread in reduced
(4) Apples in reduced
(1) 5lb bag of Potatoes in reduced
(1) Earthbound Farm Romaine, 3 pk, in reduced
(1) Essential Everyday cooking spray
(1) Wild Harvest Honey
(1) box Equaline bandages
(1) Culinary Circle spinach dip in reduced

I skipped the clementines and will buy those on the next trip.

I paid $18.45 including tax
I will get a $2.15 total refund from SavingStar
My final out of pocket is $16.30
$12.35 of my trip was for the toilet paper including tax
That means I only paid $3.95 for everything else!

Oh, I also got 3 catalina to use next time with NO minimum purchase!
$1.50 off any granola bar
$1.50 off any laundry detergent
$1.00 off any Great Deal item (that one is for 1/18-1/24)

Boo hoo!  I forgot to use my $5.00 off Shaw’s Recyclebank coupon! I have never used one because it says minimum $50 after coupons, but so many of you say they scan it first.  I wanted so much to try it!  I honestly think they will reimburse me for it if I bring in the coupon and my receipt. Man, that would be like getting one of the packs of toilet paper for around a buck!

Here is my shopping list for Shaw’s on Friday

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

Below is my Shaw’s shopping list for Friday. If you want to try this deal, you can do it 1/4 through 1/7 (four days only). You might want to wait until after I do it so I can report how it turned out.  Some of these coupons may no longer be available, so hopefully you printed them! You would need to print from 2 computers to follow this deal.

Please be forgiving if I’m completely wrong about all this! This is the first time Shaw’s throws all these deals and coupons at us (we didn’t get the previous WOW deals in my area) and I’m as confused as you are. If I were still a drinking girl, I’d be falling down drunk right now!

Be sure you activate all your savingstar ecoupons!

hopefully free or close to free

I have more stuff on my list but I’m saving that for another transaction on Saturday, if I survive that long.

Looks like my total is $15.17

NOTE: The way the fine print in the flyer is worded, it looks like these sale items are not supposed to be included in the $10 minimum. But, I’m going with my scenario just the same. I really think it’s enough to let all the sale prices stick (it all depends on the register and different stores may have different results). I’ll let you know how it works out!

I will get these SavingStar refunds:

$.50 for Chex Mix
$.75 for Cheerios
$.50 for Yoplait Greek yogurt
$.40 for Yoplait yogurt
total refund is $2.15

How to Use Shaw’s Bonus Coupons for the Sale starting 1/4

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

(another deep breath)

I’m trying to find an easy way to help you use Shaw’s bonus coupons that we can use during the already awesome “Gotta Love Great Deal$” sale that starts at Shaw’s on Friday, 1/4. You will have to do some of the work (okay, a lot of the work) on your own because I can’t tell you the prices of every item.  But, this should help you get organized, I hope!

First, be sure you print your coupons…

Print the Shaw’s Bonus coupons (2 prints per coupon per computer, one coupon per transaction)

Print the usual Shaw’s store coupons (unlimited prints, one coupon per transaction

Then pay attention to these steps…

1.  You need to buy at least (5) of THESE ITEMS and or THESE ITEMS to be able to use the bonus coupons:  If you buy (4) boxes of cereal and (1) toilet paper, that’s a total of (5) items. You can use coupons on those items!  I have some scenarios worked out for you. You can search through my previous Shaw’s deals posts here and see below.

2. You need to keep track of what your cost will be after coupons.  You have to spend a minimum of $10 after all coupons are scanned (however, I almost think if you reach $10 then have them scan the bonus coupons, the sale prices might stick).  Remember, SavingStar is a refund after the fact, so don’t deduct that from your total. If you pick up (4) boxes of multi grain cheerios, they end up being $.72 for all (4) boxes before SavingStar. Add $.72 to your total.  You can see how that does not bring us too close to $10… lol

3. You need to find items to go with THESE COUPONS. You can use only (1) of each coupon per transaction. That means you need to find (1) Essential Everyday item, (1) Culinary Circle item, etc. I want you to find items that are as close to the value of the coupon as you can get! You can search the Shaw’s flyer, but you will find lots more items in the store. I see that the Essential Everyday toaster pastries are on sale for $1.49 (I think that is close enough to $1.50 to let it go through), so pick up a box, use the $1.50/1 Essential Everyday coupon, and it will be free!  The Essential Everyday cooking sprat is on sale for $1.99, so $.49 after the coupon. That $.49 would be added to your $10 minimum.

4. If you have trouble getting to the $10 minimum after coupons (like I will), then you can pick up reduced veggies or reduced dairy. Or pick up something you really need. But, always try to shop only for things you have coupons for or things that are at least on sale.

Don’t forget about these deals!

5 lbs Clementines for $2.99 (these are a “Gotta Love Great Deal$” items so they count as one of your five items)

Multi Grain Cheerios (this list confirms they are part of the deal)

Cheap Scott toilet paper (I don’t think the coupons are available now, but still a good deal without them and Scott counts as one of your five items)

I hope this helps a bit.  I have not planned my trip yet. I expect to shop on Friday, so if I find out anything about the minimum, I will let you know. There was a $10 minimum on the turkeys for Thanksgiving, but they told me we’d get the sale price no matter what. So, you never know!

Ask me any questions you have!  You can post a comment below and I will answer here for others to see in case they have the same question.

Good luck, have fun, don’t stress out!

** Hold On to Your Hats ** AWESOME Shaw’s Store BONUS Coupons – Save an Extra $8.50

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

Run with the speed of a gazelle to print these special Shaw’s Bonus Store Coupons (scroll down that page, I almost missed them)!  My head is spinning over these coupons and all the possible deals we can get!

(deep breath)

Okay, here is what I’m thinking.  You know how we have to meet a $10 minimum purchase to get the “Gotta Love Great Deal$” deals?  Well, if we buy (5) “Gotta Love Great Deal$” items, we can use the bonus coupons. Using the bonus coupons on matching items will help beef up our total to reach the $10 minimum for the “Gotta Love Great Deal$”!  We still have to meet the $10 minimum after all coupons, but we can really get lots of food for $10 with all these coupons! And it’s just ONE $10 total needed to get the special “Gotta Love Great Deal$” deals in one transaction!

Confused? Me too! But stick with me.

Print the Shaw’s Bonus coupons (2 prints per coupon per computer, one coupon per transaction)

Print the usual Shaw’s store coupons (unlimited prints, one coupon per transaction, and see THIS DEAL and THIS DEAL).

EXAMPLE:  If you buy the clementines, you will pay only $2.99 after the store coupon. That’s $2.99 toward the $10 minimum purchase needed to get the “Gotta Love Great Deal$” deals! Those clementines also count as (1) “Gotta Love Great Deal$” items to go toward the minimum of (5) items.

Man, there is no easy way to explain this.

Just print the coupons and let me rest my weary head and I’ll try to come up with some kind of scenario that we can all understand. If you feel like playing with it, let me know what you come up with.

Hang in there!

P.S. The fact that those bonus coupons are good through the 24th makes me think we have more “Gotta Love Great Deal$” deals on the way!

Thanks for the reminder, Regina!

** CHEAPIE ALERT ** Cheap Fresh Express Salad at Shaw’s starting 1/4 with 50% OFF Sale and Printable Store Coupon

I use affiliate links in some of my posts. I may earn a commission if you use my links. Full disclosure.

Yike a doozie!  We have a fantastic deal on Fresh Express starting Friday!  But, before you buy the Fresh Express that is on sale, I want you to check reduced produce to see if you can find some there. If you do, it’s usually marked down to $.99 and you will get it for FREE!

If you don’t find reduced, then check out the deal below. If you pick up the leafy varieties, they last forever! Even when I pick them up in reduced, I can keep them for at least two weeks! Iceberg and Romain do not hold up for long. Choose leafy greens (better for you too!).

I love cheap produce!!!

Here’s the deal at Shaw’s starting 1/4:

Buy (1) bag Fresh Express Baby Blends (usually anything leafy) on sale at 50% OFF
Use (1) $1/1 Fresh Express Baby Blends printable store coupon
Final price will vary, but I bet you pay under a buck!!!

NOTE: The Shaw’s store coupons are one per transaction. If you are sweet as sugar, they will usually push 2 through for you with no problem. Always watch the total because their store coupons are famous for not taking the buck off when scanned.
