When I got up, I had coffee with heavy cream. I do that every day.
Around 2:30pm, I had the best meal that I’ve had so far. I had a spare rib that was to die for!!! (And many of you think this is going to kill me, so let’s assume “to die for” was an intended pun.) You can watch this quick video to see how I made this meal, and I list the meats I ate below. I did not eat all that was on my plate. But I for sure ate the entire rib. There was nothing left on that bone when I was done with it.
At 5:00pm, I had a cup of decafe with a bit of heavy cream. That’s the first time I do that since eating this way, but I was so in the mood for it. And it was good. So good.
At 8:00pm, I grabbed my bag of deli roast beef and my container of leftovers that I cooked above (I cooked enough for maybe 3 or 4 days) and I plopped down on the couch. I munched on that until I was satisfied. I saved the other rib for today. Can’t wait!
Some time before bed, maybe 11:30pm-ish, I ate a bit more roast beef and had my usual swig of light cream. Then I hit the hay totally content!
Food that entered my mouth yesterday: beef (ground, eye round, rump roast, deli roast), pork (rib, bacon), butter, heavy cream, light cream, coffee, water.
PLEASE READ: Please remember that it’s MY CHOICE to eat the way I want. If you think this is unhealthy, know I’m not as concerned with physical health. I’m more concerned with my mental health. I’m on a mission to feel better mentally… without cravings!!! I’m willing to test this so you don’t have to! But what works for me might not work for you. I’m not doing this to lose weight. I’m doing this because I’m convinced that I’m overly sensitive to carbs and that I must stay away from them if there is any chance of me feeling better. I’m eating from the animal kingdom, like the complete opposite of vegan. I know this upsets many, but I promise I won’t eat your pets. You are free to follow my progress/failures and you can even disagree with what I do. Just remember that I will get the last word because it’s my blog, my channel, my life! That’s the new me talking! (I think I’m growing balls! Let me look… yes, I see one starting to grow!)
I am starting a newseries! I ammaking aChristmas Rag Quiltfrom startto finish and will turn that footage into a series of videos so you can make one too. This one is so easy and perfect for beginners. Seasoned quilters will love it too! Be sure you subscribe to my Youtube Channel so you don’t miss it. I hope to have it uploaded by the end of this month.
It’s the day before Thanksgiving but it’s turkey day for me. I always cook it and clean all the meat off it the day before so I don’t have all that mess on actual Thanksgiving. It will be just me and my mother, but just the same, I want to relax on that day.
Did you see my Turkey towel trick? I really used a crappy towel! lol I have another towel trick up my sleeve, but it’s a naughty one. lol Maybe I’ll upload it one of these days.
In case anyone is wondering, I will be eating only meat for Thanksgiving. And maybe eggs. And please don’t say I deserve a “treat” because that’s like telling a heroin addict that they deserve a needle in their arm, just for that one day. If I treat myself, it will be with meat. Anything sweet or carby would be a punishment, not a treat. lol

I am working on a new series that will walk you step by step through making a fun Christmas Rag Quilt! I promise, this is the easiest quilt you will ever make. And if you never made one, you will certainly be able to make this one!
This is a quilt as you go project, so each piece is quilted individually. Once you put your blocks together, you are completely done!
Be sure you subscribe to my Youtube Channel so you don’t miss the series. I hope to have the entire series completed and uploaded by the end of November. You will have time to make a quilt for Christmas!

Slow-Cooker Pumpkin Harvest Chex Mix Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups Cinnamon Chex cereal
2 cups Wheat Chex cereal
3 cups Vanilla Chex cereal
1 cup pecans
1 cup mini graham crackers
1 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Darlene’s Tip:Don’t freak out if you don’t have the exact ingredients. Alter it to what you have on hand or what you like. And you don’t need brand name cereal. I just think it’s cool that you can do this in a crock pot!
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1: In oval 5- to 6-quart slow cooker, stir together the 3 cereals, pecans, graham crackers, dried cranberries and pumpkin seeds.
Step 2: In small bowl, mix together melted butter, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice and vanilla. Stir until well combined. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
Step 3: Cook uncovered on High heat setting 2 hours, stirring every 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 4: Spread cereal mixture on ungreased cookie sheet or waxed paper. Cool 3 to 5 minutes before serving.

Yesterday – Monday 11/21 – Day 5
My main meal looks very much the same as it did on Sunday. But I added the special treat of roast beef to my plate. I dip it in the lovely butter juice that you see in the picture below. Complete satisfaction!
Around 2:00pm, I ate the lovely meat concoction you see above, but I did not eat all of it. I ate maybe 3/4 of it and saved the rest for later. It consisted of bacon, ground beef, and slices of eye round roast. Then I added roast beef to the plate and a hunk of butter!
At 8:00pm, I heated up the remainder of that concoction and added a bit more ground beef. Then I grabbed the bag of deli roast bee, plopped myself in front of the TV to watch Dancing with the Stars, and feasted once again.
Around midnight, I picked on yet more deli roast beef and had my swig of light cream.
Food that entered my mouth yesterday: beef (ground, deli roast and eye round), bacon, butter, heavy cream, light cream, coffee, water.

For my Zero Carbers (or those who are just curious), I recorded a video last night detailing what I eat! I’m going to try to talk about my new food plan only on that series and not during Tag Alongs and stuff. That way, anyone who does not want to hear about it can just skip those zero carb videos.
My shipment came in from Walmart! I have not opened it yet, but my hair dye is supposed to be in that box. Hope to record myself dyeing my hair this weekend!
It feels like forever since I’ve done some sewing. My mother has two of her helpers coming today, so maybe I can sew after that. I also have to see if my turkey is thawed. If it is, I’ll be cooking that today. Then I’ll just pull off all the meat and freeze it. We can start eating it now if we like. No need to wait until Thursday! lol

Easy Savory Turkey Gravy Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
Drippings from roasted turkey
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
2 1/3 cups Progresso™ chicken broth (from 32-oz carton)
Water
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1: Remove turkey from roasting pan. Place strainer over small bowl. Pour drippings (turkey juices and fat) from pan into strainer. Skim 2/3 cup fat from top of drippings; place fat in 3-quart saucepan. Discard any remaining fat (or if there is not enough fat, add enough melted butter to fat to measure 2/3 cup). Reserve remaining drippings.
Step 2: With wire whisk, stir flour into fat in saucepan. Cook over medium heat 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat.
Step 3: Measure reserved drippings together with broth; add enough water to equal 5 cups liquid. Gradually stir broth mixture into flour mixture. Heat to boiling over high heat (5 to 6 minutes), stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute.
